Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022
What a game, what a performance! Very well worth the win - more than one person I spoke to after the game said Dorking we’re flattered by the score line. They’re a good team, and probably the best we’ve played this season in the League, but to win like that was superb. To a man every player put in a...

Hugely looking forward to the game. I have a very strong feeling that we’ll win it!

Re: Hungerford v Dartford Tue 22 Feb 2022
We can bemoan a string of poor decisions by the referee (standard!) and the antics of our opposition (expected!) but we have to convert chances that we create. To dominate a game as much as the commentary suggested yet come away with nothing is very disappointing to say the least! (I still dislike H...

Ref. The alleged foul on Jake early in the game. Having watched the incident back reminded me of the particularly event in the game and I said it at the time - good tackle!! Jake dwelled a little on the ball before attempting to get his shot away.

Re: Dartford v Bath City Sat 19 Feb 2022
Park Life summed up the game perfectly and I concur with his choice for MotM - Luke Allen. Poor second half and I was settling for the 1-0 win so a late penalty was a bonus for our second goal. Dorking and Maidstone have yet to come to PP but the Maidstone fixture is a long way off yet and things co...

Re: Hungerford v Dartford Tue 15 Feb 2022 - POSTPONED
Some sensible comments on this thread, unlike responses to Hungerford's tweet announcing the postponement. 1. Absolute spot on decision by Hungerford making an early call rather than have people travel on the off-chance that the rain stopped (unlikely!) and the pitch dried out miraculously 2. I wish...

Re: Dartford v Welling United Sat 5 Feb 2022
Great weeks work! Chatting prior to the game at Tonbridge last week I felt a return of 7 points from the three games would be good but to get 9 was superb and fitting of the hard work the team must be putting in behind the scenes. Exciting few weeks ahead now - a visit to the Hawks ion Wednesday and...

Not sure that the tenacious, ball-winning midfielder features at all in the modern, NLS game but I quite agree.Ajaxman DFC wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 5:53 pm However, we are in desperate need of a tenacious midfielder.
We came off second best too many times in that area of the park yesterday.

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 29 Jan 2022
Oh, and my MotM vote. Totally agree that Danny Leonard was superb (not so sure he’s had a bad game for us, has he!?) but my vote’s gone to Jebby. Made things tick in midfield - his distribution was good, great turn of pace in possession to drive at the Tonbridge defence caused them one or two anxiet...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 29 Jan 2022
My summary: - Much better performance - I’d say the culmination of a weeks worth of hard work by the management and players alike (Great War cry by Tom Bonner on Twitter during the week btw!) - Poor performance (again!) by the match officials - Don’t discredit the effort Tonbridge put in, especially...

Re: Dartford v Concord Rangers Tue 25 Jan 2022 - KO 7.45
Something just isn’t right - there is no other explanation for it! It’s a massive dilemma for the manager. Some have said too much tinkering with the line-up. I’ve said the same all along. I get that SK is trying his best to find a winning solution but surely now it’s about getting back to a winning...

Re: Dartford v Hampton & Richmond Sat 22nd Jan 2022 - 3pm
I sincerely hope Steve King got a decent deal with Southend United for Noor, who we sorely missed today. If not, and the deal was brokered by the old guard, then John Still has probably got him for next to nothing. If that's the case, then don't be surprised if SK moves on to pastures new next seas...

Re: Dartford v Hampton & Richmond Sat 22nd Jan 2022 - 3pm
Dissappointing, frustrating, et al. I’m usually positive on here but getting quite despondent with halves of football like that 2nd half today. As the teacher in his school report would say - “can do better”. In my book, must do better. Time for one or two changes or new faces starting with a strike...

Re: Player news
Gutted to see Noor go. Can't blame him, but he really was the heart-beat of the midfield for me. Without him I can only see us sliding further down the division. Sadly, I don't believe King has what it takes to get a side promoted. Completely ridiculous statement that adds no value to this thread w...

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Saturday 8th January
I’ll add my tuppenyworth on the ref too. I do watch our games, quite often, from a referees perspective, having officiated at the level below our league. The first yellow card, (was it Jebb?) was utterly ridiculous and set the ref up for a disastrous afternoon as he had ‘set his stall out.’ When he...

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Saturday 8th January
I hadn't realised that SK picked up a caution during the match, as I missed hearing that during the commentary. What prompted that? The commentator seem to suggest the early booking of Jebb was very harsh. Also good to see Tonbridge Angels picking up three points v Hungerford in their efforts to mo...
