Re: Pre season friendly - Chatham Town v Dartford Tue 26 July 2022 at 19.45

I am also concerned about the lack of signings, while we've had some very good players through the door and players from last season hitting another level I still feel like we're 3 or 4 players short and need cover for multiple positions. Wall has has 10? minutes this pre season which is a concern a...

Re: Pre season friendly - Dartford v Millwall Tue 12 Jul 2022 at 19.45

Were we bad? Unfortunately couldn't make tonight so any reports welcome, hopefully we put in a respectable performance. No we played really well, just a few of the Dartford youth causing issues! They won’t learn until either things really kick off or they get the club into trouble. Millwall are the...

Re: Player news

Delighted that Dan has re-signed, thought he was our best player last season and definitely our most consistent. I was almost certain he was going to move on and go on to play at least 1 level above so this is a welcome surprise. I feel like we have a strong core now at this point with key players f...

Re: Player news

Happy with Samir and Kristian. Hopefully both can really show what they can do with a full season ahead of them.

Excited to see Cameron get a chance in the full team, has bags of potential in my opinion and hopefully can show that this year.

Re: News from around the National League South

Ryan Seager has left Hungerford to join Dorking. Will be tough for them to replace him.

Happy with that, always worked hard whenever he did play. Hopefully has his confidence back.

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Another quality player lost, probably the biggest one so far.

Dan Wilks has also removed Dartford FC from his twitter biography, so one to keep an eye on. :(

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Disappointed on that one, really felt like he deserved more chances last season so don't blame him for moving on at all.

Hopefully we will have some players retained for next season!

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

A few rumours that Wilks also on his way to Welling. This was my biggest fear when I heard the news about a management changed was that we are going to lose the bulk of our squad including a fair few key players. Ade wasn't really on it the 2nd half of last season, but wouldn't be at all surprised t...

Re: Steve King

It’ll be Auf Wiedersehen, Pet to Dennis if Ebbsfleet don’t win them the League next season!!! Let’s worry about what we’re doing than what’s going on down the road. Far more important (and interesting) after all. Hes got a two year contract  we believe in stability ;) King had a contract unti...

Re: News from around the National League South

Jason Prior has signed for Havant. Fully expect them to be back up towards the top of the table, especially if he stays fit.

Re: Who do the real Dartford Fans want as the new Manager ?

Dowson is my number 1. Knows what it takes to get out of this league and has been successful wherever he has managed. I'm sure he will have contacts in order to assemble a strong and competitive squad.

https://www.dartfordfc.com/steve-king-further-statement/ However, Dartford FC is built on stability and the wider footballing and supporter family within the community. Our recent approach to player recruitment, development and retention, though successful in terms of league position, hasn’t perhap...

Re: Steve King

https://www.dartfordfc.com/steve-king-further-statement/ Following a lengthy discussion at our board meeting last night the directors made the unanimous decision to dispense with the services of Steve King after a little over two and a half years. In that time our league position has been a source o...

Re: Steve King

More surprised that Hess has been replaced than Kingy has gone. But 2+2 still equals 3 in my opinion as regards that. I don't think he has, no announcement from Dover and their forums seem to confirm it's a website error. Either way I hope this gets resolved sooner so we can start preparing for nex...

Re: Steve King

King's contract ran until the end of the 23/24 season, so there must have been a seriously good reason to sack him. Obviously we aren't privy to what's gone on behind the scenes (until the club's further statement), but purely based on performances I think this is a harsh dismissal. King's league r...

Re: Steve King

Kedwell didn't exactly set the world alight at Cray. Sevenoaks looked doomed under Collins. Collins at Dartford could well find us in a relegation battle. On the other hand Kedwell would probably keep us up. But should such an appointment be made it would represent a seismic shift in the ambitions ...
