Re: The state of Dartford football club

I can't comment too much as I haven't seen the games - just the terrible results and the comments on here. But the overall impression is we managed to end up with a bunch of players who generally went through the motions and took us down. Three managers is never a good start - I love TB but like a l...

Re: News from around the National League South

Nope. To be honest, we need no points for either of them, but Torquay were nearer than Truro.
Sadly underlines that the 0-0 draw there was a poor result (unless Truro score twice in which case I'll happily eat my words).

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

I won't comment on the match, as I wasn't there, but the stats speak for themselves. What was also frustrating was that while we stagger from one stupid defeat to another, down and out Dover beat the Chelmsford team we all wrote off as a free hit. Recruitment, management, everything that could be do...

Re: RIP Dave Skinner

I wish there was a'like' button on the forum, to like every post on this sad thread. Dave always came across as a true gentleman- someone who lived and breathed Dartford FC, and without wishing to belittle the work of everyone else who helped resurrect the club, it's arguable whether we would have a...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 16 Dec 2023

As I live abroad, I'm not going to comment on the performances, as I'm getting all this stuff from the rest of you. Neither am I going to demand a sacking, I doubt this season is really salvagable, I will add a couple of things though. Those criticising the board should really go back to thepoint wh...

Oooofff. Good, second place. We need to play some football now, but we do seem to make every game a battle.

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Sod it. We need to get on a run of wins anyway. Teams who limp into the play offs on a mixed bag of results and other teams cock ups rarely do very much. Lets keep picking the best XI and win some games.

Re: Second place

Second place would be a huge advantage to us. After beating Tonbridge, it's well within our grasp (although I fear to write tha with a trip to Concord tomorrow). But after that, for me the key to the play offs is form. I've seen Charlton go up in play offs twice, and both times, they had a reasonabl...

Re: Under 18 fans

Are any other clubs doing this? Living abroad, my views are without any info beyond what I read on here, but it feels as if the lack of atmosphere is an ongoing thing, and arrived with this decision by the club. Time to take a step back and return to how things were.

Fantastic result- way beyond what I hoped for. You have to expect a reaction for their visit to PP, but right now, vthry'll be worried.

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 12 Nov 2022

Gutted we lost, as I wanted the run to last through until May, but someone on here said Farnborough were on their own unbeaten run, so it would have been a great win but not an unexpected defeat.
We're still flying high.

Re: Dover v Dartford Tue 13 Sep 2022

Great result, and a much needed win. The stat that jumped out was the 660 attendance. Dover's stay in the National league and last seasons collapse seems to have done them some real damage. Still. Onwards and upwards for us.

Re: Pre season friendly - Dartford v Barnet Tue 19 July 2022 at 19.45

Good run out. I never get too excited about results in the pre season. The most important is the manager gets to run the rule over the players in a match, and the squad begins to gel. All good from last night, and it feels like we have signed well. Shame about the attendance, but that's pretty seaso...

Re: Steve King

My view for what it's worth is broadly in line with @Grassbank. I think the constant changing of personel did us few favours (but from far away, I didn't realise we had major injury problems this season, which would have made it more logical). But I think we were going in the right direction. Had we...
