Comparison time ???

Just comparing my hoped for line up at Oxford tomorrow versus the usual line up of last season team that missed promotion by goal difference , IF we could keep the loanees for the season [ or sign them on permanently then I reckon that it compares favourably
last seasons team [ v Oxford in brackets ]
Schlotter [ Ibriaham ]
Harris [ Yao] Bonner Vint [Wynter] Onymyah
Hayes [ Coker ] Noble Isaac [ Brown] Bradbrook Murphy [ Greenhalgh]
Pavey [Sheringham ]
I reckon " like for like " only Ibriaham and Isaac were NOT as good as Sclotter and Brown , the rest are as good , the problem is take the loanees out and we are well below last seasons team !!!

Tom Wynter was at Margate last season, & Mark played nearly every game last season at fullback. I was sorry when Tom left, but Mark came back much improved on his first spell defensively. What about the choice of manager / managers?

Think The Duke was referring to Jordan Wynter who we have on loan from Maidstone and partnered Tom Bonner at centre back last Saturday.

I can see that now, got confused by the bit about last year's team being in brackets, it's all something or other about face.

So you think Coker is as good as Hayes without ever seeing him?

Too right Bacton Buoy, foolish to compare him with Ryan. If he can average 10 goals per season and 30-40 assists he might be in the frame but that will never happen. Only Peter Taylor can lay claim to being better as an attacking threat in my lifetime as a Darts supporter.

Coker was bloody awful today and did absolutely nothing, everytime he got the ball he cut back on to his right foot when playing left wing. He never looked to take the fullback on and if he did he lost the ball. He was very hesitant and couldn’t ever decide whether to pass or shoot. Not impressed with him at all and Wynter was a liability at the back as well, I’m not a great Vint fan but he looks a much better player to me than Wynter.

Ryan Hayes in his prime was a very good player but last season [ especially at the back end ] he couldnt get into the Darts starting 11 and cant now get into the Concord starting 11 , ALL class players eventually cant hack it and Ryan isnt any different .
Cokers 1st game today [ in a crap team perhaps best judge him after a few games ????????

First impressions are not good Dukey, he was piss poor today and should never have been picked ahead of Murphy.
