What is going on at my beloved Dartford?

I was skeptical when the current management pairing was appointed at Dartford, I said I was underwhelmed. I read all the posts from fans I have known for donkey's years, some of whom would not in any way criticize the club unless things got really bad, remember Biddle?
I am sensing big discontent around the place, the Directors must take responsibility for this current situation, as far as visible evidence goes, the managers job was nor widely advertised and there are talented coaches and managers out there that deserved at least an interview. Not all the signings have been up to standard and now on the first team playing side things are going backwards. Of course there is still time to win a load of points and not to wave the white flag but come on a group of loan signings playing ahead of players that were deemed good enough is a worrying trend.

We appointed managers whose respective teams finished 10th on 61 points and 17th on 46 points. This year we will finish somewhere in between. I am not surprised of recent form or performances.
Coyle is repeating what he did last year at Welling (I think he used 7 goal keepers alone) most short term loans for various reasons. Flan did a decent good of keeping Concord in the league I don't think he had the investment of this year's Concord.
At the time I thought it was the easy option, less risk as both are well known to DFC fans, players and the board I think it is a long term appointment, there are always well respected and experienced managers available even now, take Jay Saunders or Ade Pennock for example, but as a club we have taken the easy and safest option in this appointment rather than appoint a conference national standard manager we hope our management team develop into conference national managers.

It's not that bad. We've won the last two and drawn two before that. It's a results business they say. But I understand your concern - the stream of loan players is not going down well on the terraces and the performances are far from smooth. All the while AF and JC are grinding out results we must give them time though. Our draw at Billericay looks particularly impressive now that they top the table.

Come on though Mikey the last 2 wins have been against bottom of the table who only have 2pts albeit their performance yesterday was better than bottom. And a county league team that we only beat in the last 15 minutes because our fitness was better otherwise we’d probably have been out the FA Cup at the first attempt.
The team we currently have apart from about 6 players at most are a joke and all these loan signings reeks of desperation from our management. We’ve got rid of some but there’s certainly a few more that need to follow out the door as well starting with a certain forward that came on as sub and did absolutely nothing, he couldn’t be arsed to run.

Will people please take stock. Had we have had just 1 more win we would (I think) be in a play off place and all of a sudden it wouldn't feel too bad. Whilst yesterday was poor, many factors are contributing to the phase the club finds itself in. None more so than the fact that it is quite simply a new start and it takes time. For people to judge after 2 months is ridiculous. We are supporters and that's it we should give them our support.
Capricorn I think you will find that Ryan Hayes is on a two year contract at Concord. Enough said

I'm too long in the tooth after so many years not to try and go to the away matches and I have a season ticket so will always go to the home matches whenever possible but there are several fans that I know of who but for having season tickets wouldn't bother to even attend the home matches such is the state of our performances at the moment.
It's the general feeling within the ground that has changed amongst fans it is depressing and whereas in the past win lose or draw provided the team puts in the performances they are happy to accept the results but now we have half a team of reliable dedicated players some loanee's who are going through the motions and those who should never be wearing a Darts shirt.
Instead we have let players go who showed promise or were known goal scorers we have seen before.
Your'e best off where you are for the moment if you are considering coming over to watch a game
All the best to you

I must admit that this is one of the few periods since I started work in Lincoln in 1971 when I am not too sorry to be away from Kent. The trouble is I get just as depressed reading this forum

Before Kentc get's on here I agree with him. Some wanted change but feel we took the easy option. The Safe plan.
When there were probably decent managers out there to be had, that had no connection to DFC we chose the easy option.
So instead of TB and Skip standing arms folded on the touch line we have Adam and Jamie. Still with arms folded.
Only instead of someone coming on to try and change the game under TB, who do we have under Flanagan and Allen?
A very poor squad.

Having said that, we could have gone for Jay Saunders, John Still or in my mind Hakan Heyrettin. But they still would have had to work with a budget. Thankfully, we DO have people like Dave Skinner, Steve Irving AND Tony Burman on the board who have been through our shitty past along with a good few of us and have almost lost our club.
Thankfully they will not let the club descend into that sort of chaos again.
Unlike Nuneaton Town/Borough who for the 2nd time since our problems began back in the 90's , have let the shit hit the fan yet again.
