Great performance tonight from the lads. Looking very promising for the season - Sutton have a bit work to do if they want to stay more than one season in the football league. We made them look very ordinary tonight.

Another really good competitive friendly which both sides would have benifitted from and this is turning out to be one of the most enjoyable pre seasons i have seen.
On the way to the ground though i was a little concerned with the injuries we have suffered and was hoping we would be able to field a decent side. Well i needn't have worried because Steve has assembled such a good squad that once again the players selected tonight did us proud.
To be fair Sutton did create a few decent opportunities but we defended well and special mention to Craig King who again pulled off some great saves. Not only that he can claim a couple of assists as his distributon especially in the second half was excellent and played a major part in our two second half goals which were very good (nice also to see all the forwards chipping in with goals).
We played some decent football again with everyone looking comfortable in possession and when we attacked looked dangerous and caused them lots of problems. I know it's only friendlies and not a good gauge of what will happen when the season starts but we are playing much higher opposition and have looked very good in all the games so far. Trying to keep things in perspective but i am getting just a little bit excited about how we are playing.

Agree with everything Park Life has said, tonight yet again we was excellent all over the field. Craig King definitely had a match winning performance tonight with the saves he was making. Our defensive play has been exceptional, I can’t remember the last time we managed to make so many blocks of shots. Not only are we clearing our lines but are doing it by playing some good football as well, no panicking at all just pure football out of defence.

I certainly liked the look of our two trialists tonight at right back No 2 & left wing No 11 with the winger setting up goals 2 & 3. I really hope Kingy signs both players.

Jernaid Meade had another decent game tonight as well at left back and looks another very good player IMO.

I’ve not known such a good pre season for a long while where we’ve made the higher league opposition look very ordinary, especially when they are 2 or 3 leagues higher.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a season to start as I have this season, again imho I think we actually look stronger in every single position this season as well compared to previous seasons which doesn’t normally happen.
