Three games to go. Southgate finally puts his ‘96 demons to bed with victory over the hun. Four games and no goals conceded.
If there is belief that DFC could win the NLS next season then surely England have every chance of getting the ball rolling with Euro glory. Even Harry Kane scored with a 4/10 performance.
It’s all getting interesting!

My brother-in-law in Canada will have been watching the Euros on cable TV over there. I was planning on sending him an email tomorrow, after we'd been knocked out of the Group of 16 by the Germans. Looks like he'll have to wait until after Saturday now.

We certainly didn't look like scoring as the German's were well in control. Then when we did score Sterling gave Germany their best chance of the game. No goals conceded and looking strong at the back, the problem is up front with an under performing Kane. Maguire was excellent yesterday as was Phillips who I think has been an inspiration out there.
Still as said, a long way to go and I think we can make the SF's.
But as we are trying not to discuss it take no notice of anything said on this thread, especially mine.

True, but Phillips reminds me of Ade Sullivan, gritty, not afraid to get stuck in even after an early booking.

Last night’s game was one which doesn’t come around too often. For ten to fifteen minutes after England’s opener, Ukraine did what they had to do in applying pressure, which fortunately was absorbed professionally and allowed Southgate’s men to dominate the remainder of the half. Once the two quick goals went in after the break it was game over, but England refused to sit back and one of the best elements of the performance has to be the lack of unforced errors. This, coupled with the odd smile from Lady Luck (Müller’s miss) is unquestionably the reason why the three lions go into semi-final stage as the only team yet to concede.
Whatever your stance on international football, the achievement in reaching the semi-final in World Cup 2018 and again in this Euro campaign cannot be over-valued. I think England are now favourites to win, since Denmark is the ‘weakest’ opponent remaining. A win on Wednesday would provide many fans with a lifetime first England final appearance, so everything is crossed that Silverado’s email is delayed until next weekend, maybe even until next summer. Either way, an absolutely cracking preface to the return of non-league football.
Up the darts and COME ON ENGLAND!

I like the way you say 'weakest team' Mikey. Denmark will certainly be no Ukraine.
Italy were scorching against Belgium and for all of Spain's fancy football will be no match for them. The only thing I didn't like seeing was the antics of the Italians in the last 15 minutes against Belgium.
Italy V England final, I hope.
