Dartford are playing at home to Metropolitan Police in the 1st round proper of the FA Youth Cup this coming Tuesday, 3rd November 2020. Kick off 7.30pm.

No idea about ticket sales as there is no mention of the match anywhere on the club website that I can see (not that I am surprised) or on the clubs social media platforms. If anyone knows please share the information.

I believe that it will be behind closed doors as the FA deem it an "elite" competition now that it has moved into the First Round proper.

Well that's two things I've learn't this morning. Already being fully aware no one is immune from Covid-19, it also includes the FA where it must be rife by now, and not only infiltrates the respiratory system but attacks the brain as well.

Strange how 'elite' football is not safe to watch whilst 'non-elite' is safe to watch. For me, this sums up the inconsistency of Governmental approach. God help our economy and all the sports clubs facing possible financial ruin.

Another poxy FA farce!!

It would have been nice of the club to notify us of this but keeping their supporters up to date about the football side of things is not one of their strong points. If we get a new sponsor for the toilets at the ground or if the kitman has changed his brand of washing powder then I suppose it will be announced on the website, etc.

This does seem a bizarre decision if it is indeed that no fans are allowed in. I have been to other non league games this season where the attendances have been 500+ and all works well with reasonable social distance, sanitiser's readily available and covid QR checked codes everywhere..... and at grounds that dont have tiered stands, to aid distancing, like we do...How can youth football be considered elite? It really is a farce!!

The consistency of the inconsistency in the footballing authority hierachy is becoming more and more mind-boggling as time progresses. There are so many wrong decisions being taken at all levels.

On the positive side, I will gladly sign up and tune in to watch this match, and that is in competition with Harrogate v Tranmere and Atlantic v Liverpool games on at the same time.

So, COYD. I'd love to see the young Darts make progress in this competition.
