DFCSA start fundraising campaign

Post by Gary C »

Dear all fans of Dartford FC & friends of the Dartford FC Supporters' Association

We are in extraordinary times currently and the COVID-19 crisis has affected every single one of us. With an ongoing suspension of all footballing activity affecting our ability to raise funds for projects within Dartford FC, the Association have set up this GoFundMe page to allow supporters to contribute if they choose.

We are currently funding the ongoing running costs of a mini-bus to be used for transporting the Academy sides and youth teams to matches, as well as many maintenance projects around Princes Park Stadium, allowing the Club to focus on the playing side. Any excess raised will be used on future projects around Dartford FC.

Please do not feel pressured to donate, and if you do donate, please only give what you can afford.

Stay safe, and keep well.

Gary Clark,
Secretary
on behalf of the Dartford FC Supporters' Association Committee

If you'd prefer to give direct to DFCSA, you can make a donation via bank transfer to 60-09-16 51325497. Please use 2020Fund as the reference so we can monitor the amounts.

I've happily made a donation but its a pity that 15% goes to the collecting organisation - if the DFCSA publish its bank account details either on the forum or to those requesting them, a bank transfer could be made for a greater amount - just a suggestion.

I'll get back to you on that.

GoFundMe takes 2.9%+25p per donation, I think, but I will check.

Thank you to everyone who has donated already.

I think you can choose 5,10 or 15% to gofundme. The people in charge of these funding sites must be rubbing their hands together at this time.
Still, a no brainer to contribute and hopefully we blow the roof off the target.

That makes sense. I think you can set your own amount too.

If you choose "other" before entering your donation amount, you can set £0.00 if you choose. Takes a bit of fiddling, sorry.

I've added bank details to the original post

I've tried making a donation direct into the DFCSA account but my bank claims that sort code 60-19-16 does not exist!

Is there an actual target, and if so, what is it?
