Great piece in the Non-League Paper today (16/02/20) on Lee Noble. We always knew he was a livewire with DFC on his sleeve. Interesting that he was pretty much the same before he came to Dartford, and as he puts it 'pretty much rescued' by Tony Burman.
Burman says that Noble 'slaughtered' his side when playing for Brentwood and duly went after him. Noble also says that he was looked after by Danny Dafter while playing for both clubs. Danny was also a favourite of mine.
My mate and I have been long term sponsors of Lee for a good few years (The Odd Couple) in the programme and it has been our privilege.
Always a firebrand and sometimes hot headed but always a joy to watch, he has served DFC well.
A good read, and I hope he has another season in him because I'm sure he will serve a Stephen King side well given the chance.

Lee Noble
A true diamond - a pity that he picked a nasty injury earlier in the season!
They do not make them like that any more - Cannot wait to see him back in action in the near future. We badly need his tough tackling in midfield. He would have made a big difference when we recently lost to Hampton and Richmond and do not believe that we would have lost if he was playing. We looked very lightweight in midfield - the balance was not right in that game!
Steve King does not often get the formation wrong but he will have learnt from this game but I have every confidence that we will reach the Play Offs.
Trust that Lee will play on Saturday against Eastbourne Borough!

Re: Lee Noble
That was a great article on a great player. Steve King has changed our style of play, significantly for the better. I get why several of the previous squad don't really fit into our new way of playing, but I remain convinced that Nobes would relish it. He may be 32 but he still looks 12 and he is supremely fit and mobile. Things are really starting to hot up under Kingy and if Lee gets back into the side I think he will benefit from having so much quality around him and look even better than he did before. I hope he gets that chance because us Darts fans really do love this guy.

Re: Lee Noble
Oh, for a 22 year old Noble.

Re: Lee Noble
Have said for many years now that Noble is probably the very last player in non-league that you'd want to come up against. As well as being flight of foot and a tough tackler, time and again he comes out of so many melee situations with possession, when it would be so unlikely for him so to do. Losing him and Bradbrook in midfield has been an absolutely massive blow for the club this season and has taken much time and multiple attempts to resolve.
At a time in which the club has undergone major revolution, it would be terrific to see Noble back as a representative of the 'old guard'.
