I would think that with the chaotic/unsettled side/club we have at the moment either team must be wanting the game to come round quick.
Re: Cup competition draw thread
Little enthusiasm here yet. Horsham 8th in BetVictor Isthmian Premier and Police in lower half of Southern Premier, so not easy, but FA Cup always a nice diversion from the long haul of the league. At least loser gets cash this season in earlier rounds (£2250) but £6750 for winner worth going for, and we ought to have some optimism that we have the ability to progress.

oh for a good cup run
Re: Cup competition draw thread
Remember going to Met police in the late eighties/early nineties played on a pitch like stone rec with some rope round it,think you had to be copper to play then, happy days, any old gits older than this old git remember it

Re: Cup competition draw thread
Yeah I do. I remember having to take a very circuitous route through various buildings/rooms to get to the pitch. I also remember, I think, the ball getting caught up in trees when it went out of play. We'll be there again.

Wasn't it against Met Police that George Borg hit a cracking third goal that made it onto Match of the Day? Didn't win the goal of the round for the fact that there was no commentary. So no one on the programme knew who the two teams were and who scored. (made that last sentence up). 1982 I believe. We won 0-3, heady times.

That's a bit harsh, I think he only uses that name at weekend's. I was also there in 84 and the policeman lot was not a happy one..
