Concord have signed Tyrone Sterling who was released from Bromley , they have also signed a number of " name " quality players ALL of whom must be costing them top wages with 2 year contracts [cant believe its just Ryan Hayes that got one ?] and I just hope [ for their sake] that their Chairman has deep pockets as their small crowds will never cover their operating costs incl the wages !!!!
IF they gel as a team then they could be a real candidate for the play offs ??

Sterling was rubbish for us , can't believe he managed to play for Dover and Bromley

With Ryan ; it must be age related as to why only a one year contract. Sterling was never a favourite at DFC. It is also rumoured that Ryan doubled his wage at Concord

??

Why Berti? Okay, he was good but Deren is our number one. Get over Berti. Admittedly Deren has to UP his game, but seriously, he was doing okay by a lot of people on here until his drop in confidence. He knew it, we knew it and so did TB. But for me he's still OUR keeper.

Ryan was given a 2yr contract at Concord not a 1yr.
Duke was talking about he can't believe it was only Ryan that was given a 2yr deal & others must have got that as well.

I stand corrected

But at 33; before the new season starts, i am amazed he was offered that deal,
still good luck to him , great player over the years for DFC and can not blame him for grabbing this opportunity before hanging up his boots.

Ozy I like Deren and he is a real clubman but Berti was imho a much better all round keeper. He commanded his area, was excellent in the air, was a great shot stopper & quick off his line and seemed to give our defence a major confidence boost as well as having a damn good kick on him.
Give Deren his due on his day and when he's on form he would give Berti a run for his money but given the choice Berti would get the No 1 shirt for me if he was still here, but as he's no longer around Deren gets my full backing.
