Doesn't give us much confidence in us making the play-offs. :(

And so, genuine injuries aside, who does that leave us with "knocking down the door" to play? Messrs. Bonner, Noble, Bradbrook, Hayes and Greenhalgh? DFC has been castigated for being an old boys' club, but with comments like these, one wonders just how important the influx of new blood is. I'm certain we would also be able to add Ibrahim, Harris and Burns to this list if they were still attached to the club and Pugh, had he not suffered the awful leg break he did in summer. Considering our form in conjunction with these comments from AF, promotion would surely be right through the back door this season now, after looking very promising a couple of months ago.

DFC National South 2018/19 campaign = bright start > revolving door > settlement & consistency > apathy. Great team spirit and support for a while during the middle of the season, but a lack of bloodthirsty killer instinct throughout and questionable signings, particularly at the opening. It could have all been much worse, of course, but it won't feel like a terrific achievement to scrape into the playoffs and will be a disappointment should we finish outside of them.

The expression "genuine injuries" is a concern to me. There should be no other.

Not wishing to upset Arthur but the management should be sorting this out (and quickly) in a locked dressing room, not going public to the press about it??

Agreed! The whole interview with the "Messenger" felt wrong to me. Adam explained the current injury problems of four of the players named, none of which seemed trivial, but then suggested that some players were not keen to play and had opted out too easily. I can't imagine that this approach is good for team morale.
