In the week or two before Christmas gates often suffer, even for League matches, so I'm not surprised that there is little interest in an away friendly against a team from a lower division.

I guess it is a game for those needing minutes within the squad and a chance for some of the academy boys to play in front of the first team managers.

£7 to watch a team run around at 100mph, with little or no quality on the ball and leave the best players on the bench. No thanks, I can watch Laural & Hardy from the comfort of my own home.

Now i'm not a tight bastard in the slightest, ask any of my many friends, i'm always at the Bar getting them in!!
But i must admit £7 to watch a meaningless friendly in December does seem a bit Ott. Come on TAFC you can do better than that??

Don't think it's aimed at annoying anyone at either Club. We both need the Game, which will require Floodlights on, and Officials getting paid, etc. It's a game where an afternoon with Mates avoids Christmas shopping, and maybe the same would have applied at PP.. Assuming both sets of Managers see a usefulness, beyond a token kick around, and it will get extra time for the newbies to switch on to the requirements and attitude of our more demanding team members ! Hopefully the Bar is open.
