Home games for me.

When I retired I thought that a Tuesday evening fixture would be a more frequent thing for me, not having to get home after a game and get 4 hours sleep before getting up for work.
Now I know we have our gripes and you would probably say 'well' why do you bother?' But.....
As you know, I have issues with the car-parking. I now drop my mate off as near to the ground as possible ( he's not too steady on his feet) and then search for a space in the streets surrounding the ground. But then of course, i have to get him back to the car after the game. After my recent spat with Wilkie ( he who resembled Darth Varda with mad staring eyes) Bless him. I can't see me making in roads into the stadium car park much.
Last night I managed to get in some road that resembled a tip. (Nice electric oven cluttering the footpath) and clothes in the gutter, I truly worried about my car. After a 50 mile drive from the Bay, I get into the ground, The tannoy still not great, the programme still behind, what with 7 of the sponsored players not actually playing, 5 of which no longer playing and out on loan. A programme that largely consists of adverts for our sponsors.
Did I actually enjoy my evening? Can't say I did. The defeat didn't help of course, but I have now seen Wilkie in a good mood and Maurice Markin, the ever present. Bless him too.
So, just a whinge. Don't take it to heart and and don't ask 'why do I bother'. It's my club.
