Darts v Oxford City (Tuesday 13th Nov 7.45pm)
A very long 24 days after our last home game and we take on Oxford who, as I write, are currently 6 points behind us. I'm not really sure what to expect from our lads as we have been incredibly erratic. However, I think it's fair to say that we have made SOME progress and where once we had the odd good performance scattered amongst some very, very bad, it's now starting to look like it might become the other way around. I certainly feel we now have enough about us to stop worrying about the bottom end of the table, because the personnel changes mean that we do now pose a significant threat up front. Talking of changes, Ryno looked very good in Tuesday's friendly and I'm looking forward to seeing him start asap. With Ben and Ryno playing together on opposite flanks I think we'd have real quality on both sides, something we haven't had since Wannadio departed. We could have done with Ben last year, I think that might have just tipped the title our way. Anyway, what we need now is to consolidate on the improvements and start getting some consistency. Roll on Tuesday.

Very quiet on here, I don't think that our forum has ever really recovered after various reincarnations, every time that a new forum started up it had a negative knock on effect with the quality or lack/less posters. I do miss the thoughts of some of the old posters such as The Last Dicatator & Mad Mod etc. For a long time we had the best non-league forum in the county and to see it dry up to this extent is very sad, maybe this just reflects the general apathy in general. I would like to know Gary's thoughts on it all. Then again this probably warrants a subject in it's own right's.
Anyway, back on track. I need a footy fix so badly that I have taken a half day at work to make this one. As Spike rightly said, it would be nice to see Ryan and Ben on from the start, although Duke will give me a bit of stick on this subject. Hopefully, we have both Bradders & Nobes back together for this one, especially after our recent drubbing at their place. Looking forward to it.
COYD.

Also looking forward to the game and hopefully see the "Magic Man" make an appearance.
Missed the Cup Game at their place due to holiday but form what i heard it was poor so expecting the players to make amends.

Missed quite a few games already this season, so to not have a fixture today is quite irritating. Still, it’s been a while since we’ve had one under the lights, should be a reasonable turnout at least. It’s interesting that Hayes has returned - my Dover insider was asking me about Tom Murphy, saying that following his first season at Crabble, everyone felt that he was destined for league football but with Greenhalgh starting as much as he has, it’s difficult to see how all three can be accommodated. Three good players with their own individual attributes.

I've only seen four games this season. I have saved quite a bit financially. I'm getting to the age where I don't enjoy the drive up and can't be bothered to go to local matches to satisfy my lust for the game.
I blame Tony Burman for stepping down....up. he has saved me so much money. There was once upon a time I couldn't get enough of DFC.
I may be there on Tuesday and hope very much for a win. I must admit with twitter or whatever the social? media is all about now, waiting for a post from Gary is like waiting for Christmas. I can't bear listening to Kent anymore and more often than not wait until 6pm before going on Teletext for any results, even the Dart's.
My mate sometimes texts me when we score goals or ship them.
Am I getting too old?
I get more kicks from reading Arty's posts than anything else.
I may just end it all.
Up The Darts.

Arthur here.
Dear Mr O
Thank you dear boy. I often have a little too much of the juice whilst being on the forum. But im glad you enjoy Arty a little. In all sincerity old bean dont become down about it. It really is still our club and we can help with our vocal support. So don't despair Arthur is always here.

When the fixtures came out it was obvious that November was going to be pretty bleak, but at least our one home game was going to be against Torquay who would bring quite good support. Bit concerned about the cash flow, especially as our next home league game, after Tuesday's, will not be for another four weeks. Maybe we'll be lucky with a home draw in the Trophy, but it would be good to get our outstanding match against Torquay in before the end of the month, possibly the 27th?
