In a disappointing day that made me laugh, i hope you haven't lit the blue touch paper though.
I've asked him to chill a bit..... :) :)
It was tongue in cheek, we all love Reggie.
Most of the time

Jonty I promise to bite my bum on that big table in the upstairs bar if we don't make the play offs. If we win the league expect more from Reg. I will bring mum and dad and brother Ronnie as well.

While we may arguably have the best squad in the league, there is one key long term absentee who is sorely missed. The twelfth man.
The best supported clubs get the best out of their players on the pitch, giving them that extra percent of adrenalin in a game consisting of such fine margins.
Players thrive under pressure and the sense of occasion.
I still maintain this would have been a massive fixture to have savoured nearer the end of the season when, hopefully, we could have all been there to help the team cross the line if we are still in the automatic promotion race.
It must be increasingly difficult for players to get fully motivated for games playing match after match behind closed doors. Especially this time of the year. Every game must feel like a training match.
Quite frankly, I don't think it matters who is wearing the shirt at the moment. It won't make a blind bit of difference to the performances.
I really hope we are all able to attend atleast one big game before the season's out.
Atleast it will add some credibility to what has otherwise been a farcical, fake and phoney season.

Agree, i've thought that for some time. The games are hard to watch and it must be affecting the players.

Today was the perfect example of that - a rotten match with two sides cancelling each other out, but in a local derby with a crowd, there would have been the perfect encouragement.

Now that is spot on.

I am sure the lack of a crowd is the main problem. I find myself now watching the games because I feel I should , rather than because I expect to enjoy them.

St Albans seem to be doing well without a crowd, I’m looking into the book of excuses.....didn’t particularly enjoy that at all tbh.

Let’s win the next one......please

Nine home games played including cup matches only eight goals scored.

Of course but one can only judge everything when everyone has played the same fixtures. Lets see.
