Steve King knows what he's doing. He's put a good quality squad together to cope with the amount of games coming thick and fast due to the season starting later the normal.
Subsequently injuries will be incurred by all clubs this season.
The likes of St. Albans may well be cable of turning in some cracking performances on their day providing they can select their best eleven.
It's early days with a lot of games to go and as far as strength in depth is concerned there is no other club in this league better equiped than us.
And in the worse case scenario, with his contacts and knowledge of the game at all levels, there is no one that knows how to use the loan system better than our very own Mr. SK.

We lost [ again] due to the fact that we could NOT convert 6 [ incl the penalty] great chances and St Albans scored with a really terrific goal

To a man every St Albans player put in a very good shift and looked to be a dangerous side going forward but we were equally as good until it got to the final 3rd !!

I think we all know the reason why Alfie Pavey [ and the new injured striker ] were brought in ???

I really think we are missing Luke Wanadio on the wing he offered something different and was running at defenders making things happen down the wing and we seem to be lacking that, where is modeste? not been in the squad for a few weeks now, since the hampton game?

Don. Its not Rose tinted glasses at all. Lets just deal with facts. We are top of this league. Its stupid to say by some, teams have games in hand etc we have played just 9 fixtures !!! No teams results and fixtures can be compared. For example Maidstone were/are flying high but have a look at who they have played compared to us (as an example)
Start to talk about games in hand when 36 or 37 games have fine when its squeaky bum time.
I just feel that many come on to criticise under cover of "its my opinion and I'm entitled to it" and won't change.
What gives me the right to suggest this ? Nothing truthfully except for the fact we have played just nine games. If anyone thinks that we won't lose matches then I've got news for them they are going to be disappointed. People are basing a lot of points on what they witnessed last season. The scenario is hugely different. We have the best man possible at the helm. Now I would strongly argue if anyone disputed that so all I am suggesting is to support. We are top, going really well, really well. Im a Kevin Keegan "luvvin it" I really am. This squad is new and going supremely well. Alfie Pavey not a good player is another point i just can't get. Am i wrong to say in his last season with us he got 20 plus goals. Hes a great bloke as well as a footballer and Steve King will get the best out of him I promise you. Im sorry lads I do get its about opinions but for me this can sometimes be abused to simply criticise. It happens too often too be any different I feel
P.s someone said Ricky has an injury I believe

Some people undoubtedly get off on negativity. We've got a great squad and a great manager. We won't win every game but we will win a hell of a lot of them. It won't be easy and there are several contenders but if I had to put my money on one team for the title it would be us. There was very little between the two sides last night and if Charlie hadn't missed the penalty I think we'd have won. In the end we lost because our forwards fell short and Jeffers capped his outstanding personal performance with a wonder goal. Fitting because he was the best player on the pitch. The only disappinting thing for me this season is that our forwards haven't been hitting the levels that they are capable of. Steve King has already addressed that problem and if people give it time I am sure we will see things improving very soon. We are already up the top and things are going to get better. There will be no whinging from me, I intend to get behind the manager and the team. Anyone care to join me? COYD

Mr Jack Charles Jones , blimey you agree with Reg do you know what that means. A possibility of being hung drawn and quartered, at best walking the plank. I've no idea as to team news except from what Kingy has stated. He has no favourites, players are all part of the squad and will have to wait their chance. Ronnie started with the shirt and played well and then Steve felt after Dorking to shuffle the defence a bit. Dont forget Jazzy also didnt start. It is what it is. Conor is a really good player as we all know. And now he has the shirt. Josh and Ronnie will now have to wrestle it back. Great management and people skills. Another forte of Steve King. Whilst on that point the two previous games before last night. The 6 points gained were as much down to Steve as the players in my crust. Conor comes in for his attacking prowess at our attacking free kicks and corners. Plants a great header in to set us on the way. Against Maidstone 70 minutes gone, 2 substitutes made that went on to gain us the 3 points. Some forget this (some) but wow given the lockdown, the no fans in grounds, bloody hell this streaming is shite, I'm still totally enthralled and enjoying it. Yes cant wait to get back in the grounds but to everyone shout tell your mates about it. My team DFC are top, its a great squad, we are such a great position. When fans are allowed back in come along with me. You wont be disappointed

Hold on Don as well agrees with Reggie Baby. This is now getting scary. In truth its not. We all know that with the exception of Up The farts (yes meant sorry whoever you are) we all love this club and sometimes a defeat is hard to take.
P.s. Reg has had just 3 bottles of peroni since lockdown 2. Bring on Dec 3
