The home win against Chelmsford after winning at Bath after being 1-0 down was promising, breaking a 17 year record or whatever it was; I was optimistic that we could build some momentum despite the actual performance not being great.
Then came the 0-0 against Hemel. A game we truly deserved to lose however when given a penalty with 10 minutes to go that's the sort of chances we have to take if we're going to have any chance at a title challenge, steal 3 points when we deserve 0. A poor performance topped off by arguing over who takes the penalty, for it then to be smashed into the car park.
The most recent game, Wealdstone, a mid table team last season who don't get me wrong, have strengthened in the summer however it was the first game in all the years I have been going to Princes Park that has genuinely made me angry at the players. Not one of those players looked interested in playing, a sloppy mistake to concede the first goal and a lack of awareness for the entire game.
The next two games are so important for our season both teams without a win and teams we really should be beating. Win both and maybe we can push for playoffs (I can't look past Billericay or Woking for the title), but if we don't win both of these games then we will be dragged into a relegation battle, our best players will start thinking about playing elsewhere and it will be extremely difficult build any momentum.
Dragged into a relegation battle !!! Just don't bother going anymore go shopping in Bluewater

I'm not sure what that is meant to mean. I will go to the games win lose or draw as I have been doing for many years.
We're a semi-professional club, if we do get dragged into the bottom 6 or 7 teams it can be very hard to get out of that group. We don't train as much as a professional club would, therefore less time to sort out the issues. Especially once we get to the busy Christmas period, throw in some cup games and players could - and im not saying they will, but are more likely to if we aren't winning at this level - begin to think about playing elsewhere, and not be motivated to play for Dartford, which if we don't have the quality of depth, and the funds to bring in players we will struggle. Nothing will be worse than demotivated players being around the dressing room.
I'm hoping we can sort ourselves out quickly and hopefully be in and around the top 4

But you've just accused even our best players of not looking interested??

I am hoping it was a one off and a 'bad day at the office' and not something that is going to become a regular thing.
Our start this season hurts a lot more because of how close we came last season. But I will be there on Monday and hope for improved performances all around!
