Didn't go to the game. Not surprised by the resignations. Trouble is, they've left us with a team that just isn't good enough, maybe even to stay in this division.
It will take a major miracle to motivate the squad. Who ever takes over, and I don't think it will be TB.

Well that was my first Darts match this season and what a shambles. They were derived of ideas and showed little or no confidence. Tonbridge won't pull up any trees this season but were certainly worthy winners. If it wasn't for MOTM Mark Smith it could have been 5 or 6.
This a shadow of the former team that i watched a couple of years ago. I can see why the forum has been in uproar lately. If it had carried on, relegation would have been a serious concern.
Catching up with a few familiar faces last eve, they all said the same thing, that it was time for the dynamic duo to go and on the way home i heard the news most people were looking for.
Dartford used to be a big fish in a small pond, but not anymore.
I really hope the board appoint a manager from outside the club this time and not take the easy option. I read last week that Ex Wealdstone manager Bobby Wilkinson was looking to get back into management after leaving last season due to family illness. I suspect they'll be a few applicants throwing their hat in the ring.
Time to move on and hopefully in the right direction.

I don't see it that way Ozy. I think we've got a good squad that just lacked leadership and direction. I suspect they will react positively.

I am glad they are gone . Their performance last season should have been enough for the Board to realise they were useless but no they were given more money to waste.
I have no idea if they walked or were sacked, if the latter I fear the Board failed in their duty again and I am not sure they are cut out to make the correct decision on a new manager.
It has to be simple to elect the way forward , Tony to be immediate caretaker manager and the position advertised and also if legally allowed managers in work to be sounded out by the Board.
It may well be the case that Tony will be caretaker for the rest of the season if the man they want is not available until the season ends
Whoever takes over now has his work cut out because we are a shambles. Spike I do not agree with you that we have a strong squad, I hope you are right but fear you are wrong. If we have a strong squad this means that the trash football we have seen this season is due entirely to coyle and Flanagan, that can’t be true , the players must have something to do with it . I expect that a new manager will more or less clear the deck and start again.
The players have to be ashamed of their performances and should now be fighting for their lives to stay at this level of football
The season starts now

The truth of the matter is Laural and Hardy should have been shown in the door at the end of last season.

That's an odd thing to say, it doesn't make sense. Surely if they deserved to go then sacking them would have been the right course of action, albeit long overdue.

The official line is that it was by mutual consent but that phrase has only ever been used as a face saving smokescreen.

Maybe I have not made myself clear spike. What I mean is they were appalling and should have been sacked at the end of last season. I hope they were sacked because they deserved it. If the Board did not have the balls to sack them and were prepared to allow them to continue to destroy the club the Board failed in their duty

Given the amount of criticism T.B. got for his style of play it is interesting that there is so much enthusiasm for Chris Kinnear. But he does have experience and a record not to be ignored. However I have noticed that Peter Sweeney has resigned as manager of Glebe - remember you heard it here first :D .
What surprised me about our departed duo is given their characters when they played I had expected Adam to be on the touchline raging at the world about everything in general with Jamie being the voice, and perhaps at times arms, of restraint andcalm. Instead it was a couple of chaps seemingly having a nice quite chat over a cuppa. Whilst not being overly dramatic even T. B. had his excitable moments in and out of the dugout. Whether if either one of them had had sole control things would have been different we will never know. Now to await developments.
A word for Arthur, his staunch support of the duo was admirable, even if many disagreed or thought him misguided. I'm sure who ever comes in will get the same backing from him.

Presumably you meant former rather than latter, in which case that would have made sense. I suspect you probably got your wish because we all know what "mutual consent" really means.
