So he’s not the fella who got married to Norma in Cromer then?

Report on Kent Online says that Alex Flischer has dislocated a shoulder, but that he should be back in 2 to 4 weeks. Seems a bit quick for such an injury and may well have some affect on his long throws. Anyhow hope he is fully fit asap.

Maybe caused by his long throw.

With three out of four strikers missing (Pugh, Sheringham and Flisher), not to mention Onyemah and Noble, the injury situation is nearly as bad as at the end of last season!

I've seen all four friendlies so far and without doubt, the triallist who's best caught my eye has been the left back, Luke Warner-Eley. I would be very pleased if we signed this lad as his presence would certainly alleviate one of the two remaining problem positions.

Recruitment has gone well but my one big remaining concern is up front. Pughy is a fabulous player, but there has to be a question mark over whether he will recover to the level he was at before last season's awful injury and even if he does, he's been so injury prone that you can't help holding your breath every time he makes contact with someone or something. Charlie too was awesome for us in the past, but looked a pale shadow of his best last season, which we were subsequently told was due to various injuries that he was carrying. With Pugh limping off last weekend, Charlie absent last night with a reported thigh strain and then Flisher going off injured, it does give cause for concern. If these three were all fit and at their best then we'd be rocking and rolling but I am worried as McQueen would seem to be our only fit and healthy striker at the moment.

We have 90% of a really good squad here now and I can see us creating a lot more chances this season, but if there's nobody sticking them away then it doesn't take long for the heads to drop and morale to start dipping. Haven't seen enough of the strikers we've been trialling yet, but I do feel that our entire season could hinge on how we resolve this situation up front. Fingers crossed.

Great, we get a guy with a good long throw and he dislocates his shoulder doing it.
Still have a problem with a target man up front for me. Or should I say, the lack of one.

Perhaps questions need to be asked about our training methods

How many of the injuries were acquired in training sessions?

Sometimes injuries occur in match's due to training methods.

It is also fair to say that all four of our strikers have had very serious injuries in the past, with Andy Pugh and Alex Flisher hardly playing last season.
