Dean Rance, Sam Magri and Chris Bush, Cody McDonald are very good players at this level. So we will see now how ambitious the Darts board really are.

Re: 19/20 Season
I have to admit that the season didn't pan out as everyone would have hoped but I find that the some of the stick that our managers have taken on the forum is a bit over the top. From some of the comments you would think that we had finished 19th or worse!. We finished 10th, 2 points off of play off spot. If you had offered that to the fans of Truro, East Thurrock or Weston at the start of the season they would have bitten your hand off.
Back in 2015/16 Dartford finished 8th in the National League South with 5 fewer points than this season, had fewer wins and more defeats. We missed out on the play offs by 5 points and wouldn't have made it even if there had been 7 places available!. I remember TB getting some stick (as he did regardless of where we were in the table) but I don't think it was as personal as some of the comments made against our current managers.
For the record I was never a big TB fan because of the style of football he preferred his teams to play. Sometimes it was successful and at other times it wasn't. Nevertheless i go to watch the team regardless of who the manager is. In TB's 5 season's as manager in the Conference/National South on two occasions we finished with fewer points than last season finishing 8th and 10th and having a goal difference of +1 and +2 which isn't a great deal different to last season. When TB took over as Dartford manager it took him 4 seasons to achieve any success. In his first three seasons we finished 16th, 7th and 7th.
Some of the football and results last season were good and at other times it was dire but I think that people should remember that it was Jamie and Adam's first season in charge of a fairly big non league club and it was never likely that they would match the previous seasons exploits. I thought that we would finish in or around the play off spots and that is exactly what happened. I think that they deserve another chance to prove themselves and it appears that the board (who are not habit of sacking managers) does too. The club has come a long way from 1993 to where we are now and being in the 6th tier of English football isn't too bad a place to be. Next season we will be playing the likes on Aldershot, Weymouth, H & W and Maidstone along with possibly Woking, Chelmsford, Welling and Bath among others. I for one would rather being playing clubs like those than clubs like South Park, East Grinstead or FC Romania (unless its in the cup}. If we finish in a similar position (or hopefully better) then so be it. It won't stop me attending if we don't but if people only want to come if we are doing well that's their choice.
At the end of the day Dartford FC are our team and good, bad or indifferent we should be thankful for what we've got.

Goalkeeper Mitch Walker has also been released and wouldn't be a bad option for the Darts. Only 27 and has played 279 times for Dover.

Roger, it can't get as bad as the Biddle reign. But at least we had a laugh back then.

My philosophy is if you can't give out a bouquet then don't give out a bollocking. And that in my mind rightly or wrongly is my view of this platform. Rod Stringer has just this afternoon failed once again and yes again to deliver with all that they have. Now everybody get that in perspective. However as much as I despise those fans and I now know one or two personally they will still support him

Ozymandias lets hope we are laughing this time next year
Re: 19/20 Season
The Futures white a brilliantly worded post. And I believe totally spot on.
As for Ebbsfleet players wages i give one example. Darryl McMahon the previous manager had and it was publicised a six year deal worth half a million pounds. They are on incredible wages. Fair play league dont make me laugh.
As for Connor Essam he has already tweeted saying
"Where are we off too boss" in reply to Sammy Moore leaving Concord.
Senior people at a higher league team than DFC have commented that Walker the keeper who has been released would be a seriously good keeper in the National south. However once again it will be about wages. I liked a player at East Thurrock who I am told is on £700 per week wages. Our of our range. Happy Chappy you mention we will have to match the wages of the teams in the National league. We will not be able to with the majority. Adam Rooney left Aberdeen in the Scottish premiership of course to DOUBLE his wages at Salford to 4 thousand a week. Be realistic. What TB did with the team that finished 8th and made the trophy semi final was miraculous. We may have to wait a good while to see that again, however I do believe that the current coaches with the help of the club can drive us to where we all want to be. Spike im not trying to pitch anything. I support these boys. Sorry. I dont like the criticism aimed at them albeit thats people's right. Sorry. I think people who aim criticism should try football management themselves. Sorry. One peice of certain good news to you all is Arthur has said more than enough. I do apologise for the so many posts and words I just feel i had to give me views to try and balance the viewpoints however impossible.

Re: 19/20 Season
Will be interesting to see the retained list for next season. Lee Noble is usually the first major signing to put pen to paper. It's vital we keep the players who play for the shirt
Money isn't necessarily the be all and end all. One of the most important jobs of a manager is being able to install team spirit and dressing room harmony. The us against the rest of them mindset like we had in our first season in the National League. Unfortunately we had too many hired hands last season.
Hayden Bird has done an excellent job in the Bostik Premier with Merstham by doing just that with one of the smallest budgets in that league.
