It definitely did feel like a winner and one worth remembering for next time we concede late in a game. Scenes behind the goal were quite something. Was good to see a much improved performance and work rate from the boys, although shooting practice is needed. Fans were great all match and quite likely a factor in the end result. Impressed with Knowles and Ba, hopefully JamPot’s late goal will open the floodgates as some have intimated.
As for the “afters”, BTFC better get used to it as their unscrupulous set-up is going to attract attention.

Familiar with a good unSpiked rinsing of the throat, out of an adult hip flask, often on the coach back? That was the case out of the Essex Mayflower yesterday.

Viewing the highlights I thought both penalties were very tame shouts. And Mark Onyemah seemed to have a mare. But then one can't go on 10 minutes.

Nice bit of goal poaching by Jamie, hopefully that will set him off on a scoring run. Cannot make out why the first pen was given, but Ronnie Vint does seem to have a little tug of a shirt, would have got away it with most times but not when the ref gets such a clear view, didn't seem to be much protesting about either decision.
Although I can understand talk of mercenaries at Billericay, it is after all professional football & like all other jobs most people go to where the money is. Alan Julien took an offer he couldn't refuse & it is generally accepted he is a good bloke, so perhaps some of the others are too. The ownership may be of more concern to their regular fans, in case it all ends in disaster. If it does the new fans will shrug their shoulders & soon forget it all, it is the lifetime supporters who will suffer. We should know it was the signing of high earning 'mercenaries' by John Stlll & Peter Taylor in the eighties that paved the way to getting involved with Maidstone & what followed
Having said that those players brought a lot of excitement & great moments, they seemed decent people as well but were soon on their way when the money dried up.

Good highlights by their media team and I agree both penalty decisions looked a bit soft but that's how it goes sometimes! That would've been a cracking goal by Chez Isaac if it had gone in. Good point earned, well done you Darts!

Agree, good highlights but not as good as Sonytino's old stuff. Sadly, the best move of the game, was not captured, which involved a great through ball from Nobes. Just a shame we put it wide, from where I was standing I thought it was a goal all the way.

It was the best performance of the season, against the best footballing team in the division and had we had Charlie or Philpott on from the off I think we would have got more goals. As much as I want it to happen for DSY, I can't see him producing the goods. He reminds me of a boxer who has taken one too many punches, he doesn't win many headers, slow, poor movement, can't hold the ball up that well and the first touch invariably cannons of his feet. Just hope he ain't on contract.

Wish we had Julian at PP as along with Marcus, probably two of the best keepers we've had at the ground. No offence Deren.
Let's hope for a cup win, the team will be damned if there is anything else. And carry it on to my next game WSM.
Up the Dart's. :D
Dear Mr O.
Whilst I agree Alan Julian might be a nice bloke surely 1 single season at PP before moving on from our club in search of the money.cannot mean he can be classed in the best keepers category.
I think it's far more impressive for a young lad to work his way up all the years from the age of 8 to become the first team keeper for many years. I think you grossly underestimate Derren. Now for me that puts Derren up there with the best. I do accept Marcus as a great keeper of course but to class Alan Julian in that conversation I can't agree. However thats the beauty of the forum I guess.

Dear Arthur, at no point did I under-estimate Deren. He is a fine keeper, just not as good as Alan and Marcus. Only my point of view of course.
Keep taking the tablets, early night is in order.
