Can’t enjoy the game anymore.HantsDart wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:47 pm And having watched the Leicester v Arsenal match this afternoon, I shall forever be grateful that we will never have to endure the crap that is called "VAR" at our level. Does anyone genuinely think this nonsense actually contributes to the enjoyment of watching football?

Plenty of time left to get 17 x games in before the end of May/Early June!!
Just pity the NLS team who get Blyth Spartans away on a Tuesday night?

My opinion of it is, the clubs who want to carry on have ambition and want to play at the higest level possible and owe it to thier supporters to fight to try and achieve that this season,
Pleanty of time as people have said for it to be played so why not?

Ollie Bayliss seems to know whats going on so I believe it's a real possibility that in some format the season will continue.
I've already mentioned the NL are continuing and there are teams in our division still playing friendlies and training. Dorking played at Gloucester the other day and Marc White also seems to have an insight into what's going to happen so why are these teams continuing?
What would be the point if the season really has ended?
Does anyone know if we we still training and playing friendlies because if it starts again it will have to happen quick to get the games played in time so I hope we will be ready and don't get caught out.

Yep agree 100%. Clubs playing in our league and don't have ambition like those who didn't want to play on should be playing at a lower level to reflect their lack of ambition

I noticed that Eastbourne played Wimbledon u23's in a friendly earlier this week so it seems like some teams are confident that some form of competition is still going to take place.

Kingy being Kingy will surely leave no stone unturned. If anything is brewing he would be on the case regarding players fitness and tactics. Knowing from the sound of the National league hierarchy they could say we start almost immediately. Nothing would surprise me with their decision making. Players fitness would be of paramount importance if so.Park Life wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:12 am Ollie Bayliss seems to know whats going on so I believe it's a real possibility that in some format the season will continue.

I don't get this notion that 'teams who don't want to continue have no ambition' - for many it would be financial suicide so why continue when you already know what the fallout would be. Being prudent doesn't mean you lack ambition. Far too many 'ambitious' teams (like Maidstone for one) have caused untold harm in the past.
Re: National League North and South season declared null and void
Several clubs such as Havant, Concord have decided not to participate in the proposed hybrid league.
Would be interested to see which clubs are considering this. With the potential of increased travel costs with games at the likes of York, Gloucester and Fylde it could prove a problem for several clubs.
I am sure our board will look very carefully into the options before deciding if we are involved.
