Good entertainment in the end and the team that finished is the team that should start on Tuesday against Tonbridge. Why leave two of your most productive players on the bench, another one for the managers! Up to the point of both subs we were very poor and when that piper light aircraft flew over the ground I had wished that it was carrying a message to the management duo! I ended up giving my MoM to Alex as he was solid at the back and offers something going forward, he also has a very dangerous throw and gives it 100%. Yes, he might be carrying a few extra pounds but at least he works hard and the more he can play the better for us. Personally, I want to see him stay at left back instead on Tom B. As for Tom, it will be hard for him to get back in the team as I personally feel that he is third choice central defender going on form. Also concerned about Darren McQueen, he reminds me of Adam Birchall after he returned from a bad injury, not sure he is up to this level again. Also concerns about Luke W, again he doesn't look as good as when we had him before, he just can't get the ball over any more. Maybe that is why he has came back to us after struggling to get in at Aldershot & Bromley.
The only negative for me was to see an old man behind the goal goading the oppos goalkeeper, along with a sprinkling of school kids. Their keeper didn't deserve the abuse and is a decent guy, in fact, he had a very good game. Against a shorter keeper Wabo & Ryan would have got a goal each. Onwards and upwards to Tuesday night for our first relegation battle. Always enjoy going to Longmead, especially as this is only 10 miles away.
Come on managers, be positive and play the form players.

Good point today. Didn't miss LB. everyone. One was moaning about. Rumours rumours
A little over 16 months ago we were a whisker away from being champions. Now we are 3rd from bottom with the second worst goal difference and only 1 win from 8 games. The dressing room is in turmoil and we look clueless on the pitch.
Today we had a 20 minute purple patch in the second half and scraped a 1-1 home draw against the footballing powerhouse that is Hemel Hempstead. From the point of view of a team struggling to avoid relegation I suppose that could be considered "a good point", so yes, I guess I'll have to agree with you.

Game of two halves. Luke W-E left the club?? Why??
Certainly wasn’t of his own free will or choice Sally, from what I’ve heard the lad is absolutely gutted to have been asked to leave and so are the fans.

Decent guy? Did you see him kick the penalty spot to bits after we scored!

Fully agree with Jonty's comments above. Once we had all 3 subs on we saw some good flowing passing moves, and a lot of spirit. The goal from Norman was fully deserved after such movement and Rob's stinging parried shot - see YouTube video, thanks to KSTDart.
First sight of Alex was not what I expected, but he impressed with his strength and determination. Long throws caused problems and he managed well as stand-in left-back. Felt sorry for Adam's lack of support to the headers he kept winning against experienced defenders like Connor Essam; even beat about 5 once in the second half. Unfortunately, his penalty was a little too well placed and at a nice height for a keeper.
Forum not a nice place at the moment, but enough skill and determination towards the end to justify optimism that we can and will improve once we decide on a more settled side.

Thats football. That will happen at most stadiums, keepers will almost always get the most stick along with referees. I'm sure he wasn't bothered by it so not sure why you're trying to make it into a big deal.

After the Watling Street/Maidstone debacle of 1992, Dartford FC is run by the fans for the fans, where everyone's equal and we're all in it together. Really? £3.80 for a bottle of Peronni while the directors pay 70p less downstairs eh.
George Orwell's 'Animal Farm' suddenly springs to mind.

If there are lessons to be learnt today, it is surely to put out our best players in the positions that best suit them, not accommodate them as round pegs into square holes. First half very disappointing, but Tom B at left back?? McQueen right wing?? Second half much more encouraging, with Ryan H effective down the right, McQueen looking more comfortable inside left, and even more so Wabo in that same slot when he arrived. Also thought Greenhalgh had a good 2nd half in that left midfield role, rather than when we have seen him isolated out on the left wing on previous occasions. He, Flisher and Allen linked up well on several occasions in the 2nd half. Definitely some positives to take forward and I would like to see that finishing line up starting at Tonbridge.

Arty is stirring, just awakening from a heavy lunchtime session. He was so pissed today he doesn't know the score. I will let him know and see what he says
