In terms of fitness probably the best workout we have had so far.
I've now seen three of the pre season friendlies and overall reasonable happy but a little concerned with the situation regarding injuries with our forwards. Alex Flisher went off injured early first half which was a shame as he has showed some good touches and he now joins Pughy and Charlie on the injury list. Was pleased therefore to see we are trying other forwards as i've a feeling we may need some and would like to see Norman again who played up front tonight and did quite well against decent oppositon.
Still probably too early to judge but on what i have seen so far Sam Blackman looks a good addition, Luke Warner-Eley (left back) looks promising, Josh Hill and Mark Smith look solid and with Luke and Darren we have some real pace which could well cause problems for our opponents.
Next few friendlies will be interesting and hope that we can get some fit forwards on the pitch pretty soon as time is running out.

Guessing this is Norman Wabo? Southend youngster who’s been on loan at Ebbsfleet, Maidstone and Braintree previously?

Norman looked useful and put the Gills defence under pressure a few times, he also took his goal well.
What’s the injuries to Pughy & Charlie as haven’t seen any comments about them until Park Life mentioned it above?

I believe that Charlie has a thigh strain and Pughy got a whack Saturday so hopefully both won't be out too long.

Gillingham played with a lot of pace and tempo but I think we might have nicked a draw with a bit of luck. Our defence switched off for their winner but when you consider we had Noble pugh and Sheringham sitting in the stand we didn't do too bad. Alex Flisher appeared to injure his shoulder and I assume that injury was connected to his long throws. The trialist playing up front in the number 20 wasn't bad shame he's not the big man we need upfront.

Full name: Fotsing Norman Arthur Pitoula Wabo. Got to be worth a football chant on its own.
