I wished to hopefully get promoted with the best squad in the league by a mile last season.
I hoped that we would make the most of the leagues best striker last season and help our title push instead of inexplicably dropping him from the starting line up several times and losing critical points.
I wished for a fresh start and change of direction with a manager at the helm who is tactiacally proven and a real leader from outside the club so we can start again with fresh eyes. Sometimes this is needed.
None of this happened.

I think it’s possible that TB could possibly have us higher up the league, I do think that TB would have us more organised and no one would dare put in the less than 100% performances we’ve seen form too many this season.

I did wish for change for the right reasons but the board bottled it and stuck with the DFC family.
They clearly want yes men and not to be challenged.
And if anyone is going to bore me with what can we afford we pay 2 managers salaries. Imagine the quality we could look at if we had 1 combined salary?

Saying this these two are in the hot seat and I will give them my full support from the terrace and I do believe they need time but it’s hard to be patient when there’s a feeling not everyone gives their all and th best player is being played out of position to fit him in as you can’t leave him out. Lee Noble of course.

As for the game. Bloody hell, a tough watch. WSM can count themselves unlucky.
We did have a small period of dominance in 5he second half but they had glorious opportunities and can consider themselves unlucky.
Tom B was class again, sometime he’s recognised and sometimes it’s unnoticed but he really was. Lee Noble MOM for me.

I was not one of those people, but in fairness to those who were, what they wished for is NOT what they have been given. If you go down that road it will inevitably draw responses like the one from Kentc above. TB was and always will be a club legend but even us "rose-tinters" questioned some of his decisions last season and many people felt that TB was a little too cautious and held the team back. I think most people agree that TB assembled the best squad of players in the division, but I think it's fair to say that he didn't utilise them in the way most fans wanted. It seems bizarre that a manager can finish second on goal difference and draw criticism, but the truth is that most people felt we could and should have won the title.

Whilst some of the criticisms made were unfair and at times a little too personal, I understood the argument that things had become a little stale and maybe needed freshening up. I wasn't sure if I agreed with the view but I understood it. The idea that a completely fresh pair of eyes might come in with some new ideas and give the club fresh impetus was what they were asking for but that isn't what they got. Instead, the club went down the same road of recruiting from within that very small pool of people they already knew. We were told that many outsiders applied but they had unrealistic demands and in the end Jamie and Adam were considered the best candidates, especially since they had the added advantage of "already knowing how the club works". However, you can understand why people who were looking for change might see this as a DISADVANTAGE rather than a positive. These people did not get what they were calling for and it's not fair to throw their calls for change back in their faces.

Having said that, Kentc makes a comment about the board wanting "yes men" and not wanting to be challenged, but I don't think that's fair either. In my view the board's decisions stem from a fear of getting it wrong, a fear of failure. It's the same reason why we are not running our own bars and our own tea bars. Potentially it could make a fortune but what if it goes tits up? Our board are decent people with the club's best interests at heart and I have no doubt their concerns come from a good place, but I honestly believe that if we really want to take things to the next level then at some point we need to be a little bolder.

Will everybody stop criticising the board appointments etc etc etc etc. We are 2 and a bit months into the season its crazy. All those who criticise would have been the same I guess who would have made changes in the infancy of Alex Ferguson's reign at Manchester United had you have been a Red devils fan. This is crazy talk. Talk to JC and Flans they are open and forthright they won't keep secrets they will explain EVERYTHING they are trying to do. It's refreshing to have a chat with them. They will agree with lots that has been said I can assure you. Yes they are dissapointed at the performances but everyone of you who are on here saying as such what were saying after the two opening games. I tell you what. You were praising them. Fickle is the right word. As for the board appointing whatever you want to describe it as there are so many reasons why they couldn't employ certain applicants. Personally, (JC and Flans if you do read this please don't take offence) I would have preferred Jurgen Klopp in charge, but reasons prevail that he couldn't. Get the idea ! Talk to the board talk to JC and Adam they are so open and forthright. I for one wish for things to be different, but i am Dartford they are Dartford so give them All your support. It will take a little bit of time but they will get there.
Phew That's better !!!!!!
