Yes we won, we are top of the league, a slight improvement but am I satisfied NO ! :x
Still repeating old habits as we can't beat the first defender when taking corners and free kicks :x
Too many long punts up field against such a poor opposition :x
A failure to convert chances to shots on goal as their keeper hardly had a save to make :x
Finally at 72 I did just manage to keep awake and see the goal
But hey hoe Reggie we did win :) ;)

A couple of days training for forwards to improve their finishing and to select the dead ball specialist which we know we have :?
Then back to Tuesday against a team bottom of the league and a chance to improve our goal difference and points tally :)
L'Ghoul M.O.M. for me

Says a lot when McKimm, in his interview with the KM, said he was pleased that his team contained us!! Very negative that!

Take nothing away from the Darts, we plugged away at it and deserved to get the goal and the win. Agree that a negative for us last night was the quality of service into the box.

Let’s not take Braintree for granted next Saturday but let’s continue to make the necessary adjustments to our play and our quality will come through.

Better than the Fleet game,we should have made our dominance pay and our lack of quality finishing is a concern.
But we kept going against a tonbridge game plan to stifle us for 94 minutes..
I have to agree with other posters, why do we struggle with our crosses which
are so often intercepted by the first defender.
But We have a great manager and an excellent squad so as Parky says
KEEP THE FAITH!!

A much better performance and a deserved three points. OK, Tonbridge offered very little, but generally we seemed to have a much more committed and positive approach tonight and created a lot more chances, it could easily have been 3 or 4 nil.

Despite that though, the service and final ball to the forwards was very poor overall. I felt sorry for Dickson who worked hard all night getting into good positions, only for the cross or final pass not to get to him.

L'Ghoul looked better in a more offensive role, but another poor performance from Marsh Brown I thought. Last season he was beating defenders for fun.... and crossing the ball occasionally.

I still think that when this team clicks, someone is in for a hiding! As was mentioned in commentary, we're top of the league and still not on our "A game" yet. Can't be bad!

On the subject of the commentary, well done guys, and the replays were a good addition, despite the ongoing streaming issues.

Totally controlled the game but then Tonbridge were probably the poorest side I've seen this season. Just frustrating that we couldn't turn that dominance into goals. Good to see Jack Jebb back as he frees up Jacob to do his stuff, although he was firing blanks he did hit the woodwork twice and should have had a hat-trick.
On to Saturday and Braintree. Hopefully three points.
As said, Husin my MOTM. Good streaming if a little jerky at times.
Onwards and upwards.

No surprise that Bradford City got seven against Tonbridge.
