Blimey Kentc, it was only a passing remark. It was just that a few on here who were calling for TB's head have obviously not bothered to sign up to the new site.
And whereas you have given your opinion on here I must say I agree in part, but only with your second paragraph.
I'm not blaming anyone for anything. Really I'm not. Promise.
Dear Me.

Listening to Adam's interview on Radio Kent made me realise just how different our new management's style is compared to Tony Burman. I doubt very much that Flanners would ever get a job as a diplomatic envoy, he certainly doesn't sugar coat the facts. His appraisal of the game was spot on so fair play for brutal honesty. I don't envy the duo as TB is a hard act to follow and this division can be brutal. Still, they say that in order to fix a problem you first have to acknowledge that you have one and the guys have wasted no time in so doing. If nothing else, this season is certainly going to be interesting.

ps. Those fans saying we've got a couple of easier games coming up should remember that Hungerford recently drew 1-1 with Wealdstone, a feat that looked well beyond our capabilities yesterday. There's a lot of work to be done before we'll get the chance to call ANY of our games easy.

Is there any link to Flans interview on Radio Kent after Saturday's game?

It would be an interesting listen. TB's interviews used to be on the official site but it doesn't seem that they are with the new management.

I've just watched the video footage as well and Wealdstones No 7 who got their 3rd goal and what a cracker it was totally destroyed us on his own. He seemed to have both skill & a lot of pace, he just walked through our players at every opportunity.

Some great saves from Deren and although I'd heard Deren gifted Bubb the 1st goal from what I saw in the footage it was an awful back pass from Vint which caused the problem and if Deren had gone in to much he would've not only given a penalty but could well have been sent off.

I would think that the Hungerford and East Thurrock matches are going to be more of a gauge for our season than games such as Chelmsford and Wealdstone.

Back from holiday along with The 5th Searcher and thanks to Gilesey for all his updates over the last 5 games.
I was hoping for about 8 points from the games which we knew were against some tough opposition so 7 is not so bad albeit it should have been 9 but we cannot rely on penalties (missed or scored) in order to get goals so I am wondering where they are to come from.
I have faith in the management team as we did need a change and as I have seen many good players let go over the last 65 years I have just added that un-named player to the list and at least it proves that the majority of us were right about him if he carries on scoring goals at the current rate.
Looking forward to the Hungerford game and hopefully our record against teams at the bottom of the league during TB's reign will have changed and the new management team get us back on the right track and we produce some goals from our strikers and not have to rely on Elliot if he is playing to help out and also Nobe's returns to boost the midfield.

I feel the problem is we let (or they decided to leave) go some very good players a this level and many of them are still playing at this level or above which shows they can still cut it at this level, and thee have been replaced by some very mediocre players.

Last season we had hayes and harris overlapping on the right wing and causing problems and some quality crosses in and a few goals from Hayes, we had a front line of pavey and pughy where goals were coming from unfortunate that Pughy got injured, even Mark O got forward last season on the left I cannot remember him once getting forward on Saturday and brown in midfield along with bradders and Nobes , Even Mills who was not everyone's favourite showed he wanted to play for this club and put effort in and came up with a few goals and not forgetting Collier and our German goalkeeper all quality players for this level.

Now think of the players who have replaced them no where near the quality of the above also don't seem to care and show no passion for playing for DFC, I feel Jamie and Adam and signed players that are either mates with them or because they know them from the clubs they were managers before and lets be honest last season Welling and Concorde were not exactly the best teams in the this league and i can see us becoming a mid table to bottom half team with local rivals such as Ebbsfleet Maidstone Bromley Dover all above us and even Welling are above us at the moment, things need to change and get players in who are good players at this level and want to play for the club with some passion.
