I thought we played well with some really good individual performances.
If I was being critical it’s that we had many opportunities to score that we either made wrong decisions or just cocked it up. And I mean really good opportunities not necessarily shots on goal.
What I didn’t understand and what in my opinion contributed to them winning is when their defence has the ball we have to defend so deep particularly in the latter part of the game. I think if we stayed higher and dropped on the kick or let them roam offside we would of invited less pressure. It also means when we attacked as we did many times our defenders and midfield wouldn’t be so far away from the strikers.
I actually thought we played well and screwed it up tactically. Roberts and crook were superb imo and even tough we lost 2 late goals Vint and Bonnor were immense most the game and had a lot to deal with as we sat deep. Good to us us passing the ball around a lot more.
At the risk of upsetting the RH7 fan club I thought we were more of a threat when he went off.

OK i'll take the bait being the membership secretary for the RH7 fan club
I thought we created very little the last 20-25 minutes and did Ryno's replacement really contribute more or in all honesty anything?
Take a look at their first goal, if that was Ryno making those mistakes i wonder what would be getting said now.
As for the game itself, very good first half but in the second half we didn't retain possession enough and as a result put ourselves under pressure the longer the half went on. Like last week individual mistakes have cost us again which is unfortunate because recent performances have got better.
MOTM for me between Roberts and Crook who are both looking very promising signings.
As for Chelmsford, we use to have a good friendly rivalry with them and that continued with the warm farewell we received on the way out. I understand what it means to the small clubs to take a big scalp every now and then so i can understand why they were celebrating their "Cup Final" win. Well done little Chelmsford
Having said that at least it looks as if they have got rid of "rent a mob" who use to masquerade as their stewards as the new lot were much better.

I think you will be in the minority on this subject on here. One thing I do know, Ryan takes a far better corner/free kick than Ben ever will. Obviously, Coyle has instructed Ben to take all set pieces, which has cost up quite a few goals. However, now is the time to give Ryan the responsibility to take the set pieces, we need goals, not floaty meaningless balls into the box. Sort it out management team!
Now, one thing I have noticed since our midfield dynamo has been out of the team is that we have been far better in the middle of the park and I think the theory behind this is because we have had 2 players who don't just follow the ball and get out of position. As much as I like Nobes and yes, he has been out best player year to date, he also causes us problems because his natural instinct is to put a challenge in, even if it means that it is an area outside of his zone. This invariably means that when he fails to win the ball, the ball then gets played back into the space he should be occupying and allows the opposition's player to more or less walk into our box. I know the group who I stand with also feel the same way but it would be hard on the wee fella to lose his place through a suspension as I don't know a player who tries harder on the field of play. Personally, he has to stay on the bench all the time we have the likes of Bradders, Crook and now Healy in the team ahead of him. Yes, it is a hard call but I have seen enough to suggest the the team is now developing into something half decent mainly because we have sorted out the middle of the pitch. Again, no doubt this will upset a few on here but this is only my opinion.

Fair enough on Ryno but yeh I did think we got better. All about opinions etc
As for nobes, the guy never goes missing and goes into areas others don’t. He’s involved in games so much he’s never going to be perfect all the time but he is always in the thick of the action. Some players go missing sometimes so they don’t make mistakes as such but he’s the same if it’s a tough away game or easier home game. Always there, always involved, always wanting to get on the ball.
Anyway I don’t wanna be doom and gloom I thought we did ok and if we defended higher we would of had a better chance of winning. I actually thought defence played well particularly Ronnie and Tom.
I thought we played some really decent stuff, no hoofball unless it mattered and was creative. We could of been 3 up by the time they scored.
We’ve had some shocking performances this season and it’s a forum so it’s right it’s pointed out but this was not that.

Jonty certainly raises an interesting perspective on our embryonic restructure. To propose that Lee Noble should sit on the bench all the time that this weeks Team, plus Elliot, is available, raises a singularly opposed viewpoint to my own, on a player I consider to be a talisman of our Club, in our recreating the Dartford ethic and way, that the Terraces have enjoyed and expected in the past.
I certainly respect Jontys right to believe to propose it, but I doubt that Lee would remain as a bit part infill, if he felt that he had lost the confidence of long time Supporters and spectators. The Broom might be sweepng too wide, too soon.

If Lee Nobles value to this team is in anyway being questioned then that’s about as dumbfounding as it gets.
If I’m interpreting it wrong then I apologise.

Don't worry Mr Kent, nobody is questioning what Lee brings to the table. He is a valuable member of the team but that is not to say that he is the perfect midfielder, otherwise a league club would have snapped him up years ago. I feel that he could be far more productive if he didn't over commit himself to other areas of the pitch where he has no right to be and focused his attention to his own area. He might find that his goal tally would also increase as well.
In short, if the new midfielders are as good as I think they are then I would be extremely surprised if he just strolls back into the team. If the likes of Joe Healy get a run of games on the board it would be hard for him to go straight back in.
Good old Parky, I like him as he always talks a good game, even if he never played in his life. Even in my 50's I can still play a decent level if I wanted, not bad at cricket as well. Maybe that is why I see the game from a different perspective.

You may
