Really quite bad from all involved. Jacob's superb goal was the only positive moment in an otherwise poor performance.
Maybe you could say the conditions played a part, but how many times was the ball bouncing around the Eastbourne box or cleared off the line- i counted 4 times...At that point, the wind and rain have nothing to do with it, it's about finishing and composure. Unfortunately both are in short supply at the moment.

This isn't based on today but what does Jebb offer other than set plays?
Quality every week.
Maybe I'm just not seeing it. Gives the ball away a lot and rarely makes a tackle. Definitely not suitable for the holding role. Great from a dead ball.

I see Charlie Sheringham scored for Chelmsford today.

EB are not a bad side and played good football. We had our chances and simply did not convert though the best goal of the game undoubtedly fro JBA. Of course the conditions had a bearing on our style but we do need to be a bit more ruthless up top.

Still top us and Dorking no league game until Boxing Day,St Albans have a tough game against Oxford Tuesday night.
There’s a long way to go. Sure, St Albans have had a great start with its defence allowing them to knick mainly 1-0 wins but lose Jeffers and they are going to struggle to pick up the wins. However, we do need to find a solution to the missed chances as it has cost us three defeats so far. I think we would have won the game today if we had scored that chance after 3-4 minutes. When we are in front we rarely look like giving anything away. If we feel frustrated, imagine how Steve King feels!

I would rather see him further forward as i think he has real quality on the ball and capable of creating and scoring a few.
I think he's playing the holding role rather than a defensive type (like Wynter or Ijaha) as SK is trying ways to be more offensive.
Don't agree he gives the ball away a lot but this great (but sometimes frustrating) game is all about opinions.

Interesting:- the three teams who are immediately below us in the table we have lost against and Hampton (fourth) we drew with. Seems we are going to have to raise our performance levels as others appear to be doing when they play us.

What's important is how we bounce back. Maybe, SK will shake up the backline. I know Conner offers us more going forward but since his return, we have started to concede and we don't look as solid at the back. To make me even more annoyed is seeing RV getting praise at Dulwich Hamlet and a clean sheet. You just get the feeling that the gaffer doesn't fancy Ronny or Hill, who was ever-present last season and has not even had a look in so far. Just find this a little odd.
Difficult choices all round mate and you got me thinking so i had to check on the goals conceded.
In the last six we have conceded 6 (scored 10), in the previous 6 we conceded 5 (scored 8) so not much difference.
Ronnie is a very good player and will feel unlucky not to be playing but we have such a strong squad it must be a very difficult decision to pick the starting 11.
After today though i wouldn't be surprised to see a few changes next game.

Lay off Jebb, you probably didn’t like Tom Champion either back in the day, this is a collective and the gaffer needs to settle on his strongest 11 and get the spirit back from that amazing run last season. Very disappointed to lose that game today, we didn’t put those chances away again.
Certainly not throwing in the towel but we have to stop losing!
EB did a lap of honour at the end!
Time for another beer....keeping the faith
Was just a question. Was looking to see what other people saw in him. I will happily admit when I'm wrong.
Agree the manager needs to settle on his strongest 11 but at the moment he is searching for the right combination up front. Need someone who is going to get 20 goals this season
