All Reg knows is that Man city are wearing black and white tonight

I'm not really sure what to expect as far as crowd size goes. We're all desperate to see a live game so demand should be high, but there are still some people who are reluctant to come out and given that this confirmation is so late notice, it's hard to say how many will get a ticket. So I've no idea how many will turn up but I echo Duke's sentiment that it's in ours and every other club's intetests that this trial is a success. I'm sure we all want to be coming back for when the real stuff starts.

Not quite sure what this is now a trial for as they have decided crowds will not return on 1st October.

It's all just so depressing.

Not seen the annocument but read a little and he apparently said major sporting events? Is there still hope we can have fans back in October, I really hope so

"Elite sports" was the wording used, and for us to have been able to play the play-offs, we were considered "elite sports". My reading of it right now is that there will be no fans.

Begs the question, “what are we trialling this evening?” I’m all for supporting COVID initiatives but the gaps between sensibility and ridiculousness are widening by the minute. Rules appear random, arbitrary and inconsistent. Bring back the fans -especially to the ‘sub 1,000 gate’ clubs who depend on them!

So are we still allowed in tonight?

Just been listening to an interview with the Leyton Orient owner, Nigel Travis.
He's publicly pleaded with the government to show consistency. They can't expect clubs to do one thing one minute and something else next. Basically, if the government continue to mess football around, partly through ignorance of how the game is run across the various leagues, then it should be accountable for its ill thought through decisions and start bailing clubs out.
After all they did it for the banks and they always manage to find the money to support international disasters across the globe.
No doubt we'll all have to endure listening to BoJo spluttering and stuttering his way through another national address, sounding like he's making it up as he goes along, today. Which probably isn't that far from the truth.

The BIG test is "can 1000 fans get "lost " in a 4000 capacity stadium by sticking to the 2 metre social distancing " ?????
IF it can be done then there is no reason WHY fans cannot attend matches BUT IF it gets abused by a [minority ] bunch of " clowns " then we can ALL kiss goodbye to watching our team as it will be determined [quite correctly] that it is dangerous to health !!!!
Lets just hope the the vast majority of fans are bright enough to realise this and perhaps local [steward] policing has a zero policy and removes the offenders with immediate effect
We owe the Club for their efforts to get fans back in but equally the Club owe the fans the confidence that ANYone abusing the rules are immediately chucked out , I have to say that as much as I want to get back watching the team I will NOT hesitate to leave the stadium IF I feel that events are placing me and my family in any danger as COVID 19 is real !!!!!!!!!!!!
