ONE MAN FOR THIS ROLE APART FROM TONY. STEVE KING. GET HIM IF YOU WANT TO WIN. IF YOU WANT TO BE ALSO RANS AND LANGUISHING IN THIS LEAGUE WITH DWINDLING CROWDS THEN THATS FINE. IF NOT STEVE KING THEN TONY BURMAN. TWO BRILLIANT MAN MANAGERS AND WINNERS

Rambo wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2019 8:12 pm I welcome the departure of the joint duo and tony Bach as interim manager and was also glad to see Paul by his side. I have no idea if either have been watching us play this season but from team selection i suspect not they picked a team with absolutely no pace . Of the front six only noble can pick up pace quickly from a standing start and playing flisher at left back is beyond belief . Surely Whynter and Howard should have been full backs , one of them must be a better choice at left back, it didn’t take Dorking long to figure that area was a weakest spot. I don’t know if noble was told or he naturally drifted wide to help as both Flisher and Greenhalgh were motionless out there. This left only Allen to cover the centre and the right
I don’t know if i am the minority here but i find cunnington a difficult person to watch. All he seems to do is want to fight the opposition and is always one word or tackle from a card.
However this is the first game i have seen him not abusive to his fellow front players. Usually he shouts and flaps at the younger inexperienced players around him but today if he had flapped at Hayes or sherringham they would have told him where to go, if he shouted at greenhalgh ... well he just would not care. He has a go at wynter because he played the ball to cunnington feet and when he lost it he spent the next minute telling whynter the ball should have been played over the top. Would cunnington have chased the ball , i doubt it by the time he switched to third gear the keeper would have had the ball. Anyway he is so slow and this makes it easy to mark him, every centre half wants the centre forward to stand still and turn every ball into a physical fight. So for me he doesn’t do enough and I don’t want to see him starting games.
Once McQueen came on he gave something for the defenders to think about with his movement and pace and i feel sure if we had finished the game he would have scored and we would have won the points. Also once he was off Charlie had more freedom to make space for himself in the box and he converted a peach of a cross from Hayes
I don’t know why wanadio was not named and i hope he had a knock rather booted out. I would like to see Charlie and McQueen spearhead the attack with two from wabo Hayes and wanadio taking the two two wide positions
I hope tony can help to pick up a few points soon before the board appoint a permanent manager
I believe that Luke is injured!

Thanks Gilesy I am glad Luke is injured, well not really but what I mean I am glad he is with us. He is a match winner and probably our best player

There was an interesting statistic on Radio Kent before the game all Dorking's victories have come against sides reduced to ten men and the way that little skank got Lee Noble sent off makes me wonder if its a tactic they practice. However Dorking did look a decent side and scored three good looking goals. We played with a lot more spirit and effort and deserved something from the game but luck and a dodgy Ref saw us finish with nix. Nice to see Paul Sawyer in the dugout with TB. I feel sorry for Alex Flish he tries his best but he is no full back when we were chasing the game I would have pushed him forward instead of bringing on Norman. We were close but no cigar.

I’m just putting this one down to bad luck. At 3-2 up I was confident that the next team to score would be us. Then a stunning free kick and a ridiculous red card changed it all. But we should have held on to 3-3. How may times have we chucked points away in the last ten minutes? But, got to say, the ref spoiled it and consistently wanted to be the centre of attention. What an utter pillock! Good to see Tony back and I hope he changes things. I was excited by the arrival of Cunnington but now I’m not so sure. All I see is him moaning, throwing his arms in the air and getting booked. We ain’t going down and we ain’t going up. It’s gonna be a meh rest of season.

Signs of hope yesterday, unfortunately bad finishing,
bad luck and the worse refereeing performance that I have
seen for a long time plus a couple of great goals from Dorking.
I agree we need LB ,but I am very concerned about our goals against, something is very wrong with our defence
Hopefully TB or his successor will sort it out.
We deserved a point against a good side but we're mugged by some play acting and the clown in black.

I agree but a proper left back may well have stopped four or five of those goals in the last few games.

We've had a left back on the bench (Jay Bacon) for a few games but he's never had a sniff at coming on. What's the point of having players on the bench if you have no intention of using them?. Can't do a lot for his confidence!.
