DAMikey Luke Allen is in contention to maybe win the MOTM poll
I'm aware of that and we had a short conversation about his performance yesterday. If you remember, I said that I'd watch him closely on Tuesday as it was quite possible that I missed something that you and others saw in his game.Arthur Horsfield wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 7:52 am DAMikey Luke Allen is in contention to maybe win the MOTM poll

Also Luke Warner-Eley and Adam Cunnington impressed and Mark Smith made a couple of superb saves. We were lucky to survive Wealdstone's early onslaught with only a one goal deficit, but fought back well to go in level at half time. I thought we were in the ascendancy when Wealdstone got a somewhat fortuitous goal to take a 2-1 lead, but we did fall apart at the end.
There is no denying that there were some big problems in defence today, the Stones number 3 caused Jordan Wynter all sorts of problems, particularly in the first half and I don't think Tom Bonner will be pleased with his own performance.
Still, these are all good players and it's far too early to be making judgements. Win on Tuesday and it will all feel a lot better.
I didn’t see the game yesterday so I cannot really comment on the performance, but what I can comment on is the ridiculous defeatism shown by a minority before the match had actually finished? For crying out loud, it was the first game of the season and we lost, and so there’s already talk of relegation?Harold Handshandy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 5:06 pmIndeed, in fact just a tiny bit faster than it has taken the rosetinters to attack someone for having an opinion on the current state of affairs that differs from their own. Good work!Ozymandias wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 4:30 pm And it didn't take them long to start off, not even the full 90 minutes.
See you on Tuesday.
