He'll probably do very well.
We tend to forget a favourite of mine, Rory McAuley who's playing very well at Kings Lynn. Top of the National North. Struggled for a while after the terrible fate of his sister. Always played it hard and most times fair.

A strange game for the 2 ex Darts now in charge at Brentwood coming up next. They are playing fellow ground sharers Romford on Tuesday at Aveley as Brentwood's ground is waterlogged at the moment. Glen Tamplin's lot having an interesting time at the moment they played yesterday's 'home' game against Felixstowe & Walton at Phoenix Sports. Apparently they have used 82 players this season, leaving our 40 plus total in the shade.
Mr. Tamplin says he has a god given task to get Romford into the EFL within 5 years. Good luck with that, but why God is so interested in a little football club with all else that is going on in the world is quite a mystery to me. Perhaps it is something to fill his/her leisure time.

Cheered up by listening to Ebbsfleet's extra time defeat on the drive home and heard Luke Warner-Eley featuring prominently for Royston Town. Seems he joined them in October after a short spell at Harrow Borough after leaving us.

A couple of blasts from the past on the bench for Great Wakering Rovers tonight........George Purcell and Steve Butterworth (who is their manager). I can still remember him putting the ball over the roof of the car park end from the penalty spot many years ago.

We still joke about Scouse’s penalty, it’s definitely still up there somewhere

Purcell’s goal at Woking on the other hand was something special which I have very fond memories of.
