Dover do not feel they have been let off lightly with this 'draconian' decision and are appealing to the FA. Even considering legal action, which is rather ironic seeing how much that might cost. If you have money for that you have money to play on. Had shrugged my shoulders at their penalty just wishing to get on with football again, their response is giving me pause to reconsider.

Because they know the fine will be halved by doing so. All contrived

It's ridiculous the only reasonable decision was demotion to a lower regional based league. A fine and 12 point deduction is far too lightweight.
Had they attempted to play on with a weakened team they at least could have had some grounds to appeal.

The knock on effect of this harsh on Bromley as they have moved from 7th to 10th as a result of Dover results being expunged.

To me it shows Dover not got a good future ahead. Forget the fine. 12 points will against will get them relegated next season.

Even 12 points is not enough. 24 would see them relegated I am sure.

Dover are refusing to pay the fine so a 24 point deduction could well be on the way

Wasn't Parmenter on the National League board that insisted clubs play the season? About time people stood up and said this isn't right?? What a liberty!!!

Despite Chairman Jim saying they wont pay the fine a Dover fan has started a Just Giving page to raise money to pay it. He is asking for support from all clubs, he may be in for some disappointment on that score.

That's just taking the piss, hope they get their fine increased.

I don't blame a fan for trying to help his club, but feel he is over optimistic in hoping fans from other clubs will be falling over themselves to help Dover out, especially under these circumstances.
