It appears Billericay are trimming the wage bill, once red hot favourites are now unable to pay full time wages or the current playing staff can't commit to full time training. With the Woking FA cup windfall and the emerging Torquay as my personal favourites for the title it seems that the league title could be won by many clubs this season.

I don't want to be the harbinger of doom but according to the Chelmsford forum Phil Roberts was sacked by Hemel for failing to turn up for a game against Lewes, his contract cancelled due to attitude and a all round lack of interest! sounds like he could be a bit moody.

I don't care if he's moody, as long as he can score goals. He starts here with a clean sheet. In any case, there's two sides to every story and as I said before, it's what he does for us that matters.

He's probably enjoying his game more there.

There is an interesting article in the "Messenger" describing the way in which we were priced out of the market in summer transfer dealings. It suggests that our budget puts us about half way down the league this season.

It didn't come as a surprise, M1South, there are a lot of big clubs in the league this season. It's just unusual to see it in writing.
