Not exactly news from the South - but surprised to learn that Bromley have 'parted ways' with Neil Smith.

I would have hoped we have extended Steve's contract by now.

That is a surprise considering that Bromley are currently in 7th place and in a play off spot.

I also read earlier this afternoon that Bromley's lodgers, Cray Wanderers, have today parted company with their manager Tony Russell and that Lewes manager Hugo Langton has also departed from his job. I wonder if any managerial merry-go-rounds are in the offing?.

I would be surprised if we haven't and if we haven't and Bromley offer him more money and a players budget that he would be happy with he could well leave, but i suspect if he hasn't signed an extension already it's on the table just waiting for him to put pen to paper an i expect he will be on an improved wage and have a bigger player budget

Whilst I [ desperately] want Steve King to stay at the Darts it is real world and like very other person in this world he has to do what is best for him and his family and IF he gets a better paid job with a quality Club then good luck to him , there is no loyalty in football any more [ even though the Darts are one of the better Clubs ] and going from " hero to zero " is often based on a few quick losses !!!!!

All we can hope is that Steve is financially o k and badly want to see the Darts project through !!!!

A 12 point deduction this season wouldn't have made much sense if there's not going to be any relegation this season, would it? A 12 point deduction next season (assuming the season operates normally) would greatly increase the chances of a Douvres relegation, no?
