Arthur; from what i can gather, i believe you have supported DFC a many number of years? , and your post indicate that you will always refrain from ever criticising the club in any way, and i admire you for that loyalty, but the point of this forum is to express ones feelings and opinions, whether it be positive or negative.
Criticism and appreciation are the two sides of the same coin, and i believe that every manager and player has experienced some form of criticism in their careers , its all part of the system.

PS. Arthur ; i do think you deserve an apology from Mr C , I believe he was over stepping the mark with his reply, but we will see if he has the "Cahoonas" to do just that? don,t old your breath!!!

Arthur here.
Mr Capricorn you seem like a very lovely chappie.
The points I would like to reiterate are as follows.
When we had won our first two games very few people were criticising.
Had we won just won more game we would be in the play offs.
Oxford was a dreadful day. A real bad one.
But i ask everyone who maybe and i mean maybe uses a nom de plume to hide behind to speak to either JC and AF they are brilliant. They will not try and disguise both their love of the club and their own disappointment with certain performances. This is work in progress and we are just 3 months in. As for Mr Kentc I beleive a sabbatical would benefit his good self not to mention the joy the ducks would get.

Sorry Arthur here once more.
I meant to add I was one of the first to criticise TB at times. But cannot fault what heights he also reached for this club both as a player and then a manager. So I do criticise. It is not support at all costs. I simply beleive that certain forum members and terrace fans should give them enough time to sort. After all as i say 3 more points and we would be in a play off. Not too bad dont you think.
Now im of to run a hot bath and fill it with Dettol. My limbs are aching.
So goodnight everybody

They say poachers make the best gamekeepers and I like all this new positivity Arthur, it's great to see. It does seem strange though, that given all our previous successes, you should choose this particular season to reinvent yourself. Things haven't been going well, the recruitment was a disaster and many of the performances have been dire, so I think you should cut people some slack when this is reflected on the forum. Nevertheless, I agree with the sentiment that the managers need to be given time. It's still early days and there are signs of hope for the future. Yesterday's efforts were a huge step forward and I'm looking forward to seeing us build on that.

I'm a great believer in the premise that it's never as good or bad as it seems and I suspect that our true reality lies somewhere in between your 100% positivity and the "We're all doomed" Private Frasers of the forum. What I will say is that the players showed a lot of passion and commitment yesterday at Chippenham, and for the first time I saw signs of the team spirit and work ethic that we have become used to at Dartford FC. I really enjoyed the game and I'm looking forward to the next one.

In Reply to Spike.
I think you've used the idiom in a slightly wrong way. However moving on. I simply find it tedious for people to hide behind nom de plumes to criticise the current setup. I have already stated previously that when TB left the managers role it was 2 weeks or so that the two new managers were given the job. Bobby Wilkinson at Wealdstone had 13 new players in and spoke to me saying he had all his business complete by May 10. Yes the summer recruitment appears to have been poor but given the time and financial constraints I believe it a huge task to have completed in that sort of time. We are 3 points from 6th place I believe. JC and AF simply turned to players they knew and yes they havent come up to scratch. Had pughy been involved I think we would be occupying a play off place. Not a sole has praised them m for the Bradbrook, Sheringham signings etc. Indeed all I read and heard for weeks was about Alex Wall. Now that seems to have dried up we have now moved on to more doom and gloom. Thank God for the win Saturday or someone people would have been crying for them to be taken to the tower. Reinvention called it what you like but i suggest that people do what was actively asked for on Saturday and get behind the team

Well, as you mention it Arty, I wasn't overwhelmed by the signing of Sheringham, he couldn't get in at HH and their team that played at PP couldn't hit a barn.
But I must admit I do enjoy your posts.
Admittedly the lads keeping hold of Bradder's was a Godsend.

My concerns were more about the set-up as the major change over the summer was bound to take a bit of bedding. It was more about the leadership situation with the managers on how a final decision is made when Adam and Jamie see things differently. Perhaps they have sorted that out between themselves and the recent confusion will be over.
For instance there was an article in the Dartford Messenger about us having three wonderful central defenders for almost immediately one to be dropped to the bench and another released, there was also mention of Tom Murphy solving the wing problem for him to be left on the bench. The dual manager is pretty rare and often ends with one, or both, leaving, lets hope A & J are the exceptions to prove the rule. Salford City did well, but from watching the documentaries on the BBC one was the louder and more dominant.
Anyway lets hope it all pans out well for the Darts

But the two brothers at Lincoln (can't remember their names offhand) did more than alright - but maybe being brothers helped a lot.

They are shown as Manager & Assistant Manager on the Lincoln City website, & it is manager Danny Crowley who does all the pre & post match interviews.

Quite right! There has never been the slightest doubt that Danny is the Manager, so the relationship between him and his brother is more like that between Tony and Paul Sawyer as far as the club is concerned.
