Delighted with the start to the season which looks well deserved from the highlights of the two games I've watched.
Is it a record to have 9 of the players picking up points in the Man of the Match awards! Certainly seems to confirm the all round performance of the team. Elliot seems to be benefiting from handing over the captaincy too. Will need all these performance levels again against Hemel and Concorde as we complete a tough 4 match opening to the campaign.
Well played Darts. But with so much happening, not yet sure when I will be managing to get down to PP. Keep it going.

Great win for the Darts,with our new players still "jelling" they played some very good football, with and more importantly without the ball ,so it looks very promising for the season ahead.
The "offside goal" was an incorrect decision it just denied the lad of an excellent goal
But i think most importantly, this result could have a psychological effect, having not beaten our Essex friends for 18 seasons at home ,and to finally get that monkey of our backs , sent the fans home with full of optimism .

I've seen the Vanarama Highlights - does anyone know if there is a replay of the touchline incident with Basher Stringer and Flanagan? I found it hard to make out on Tuesday as I was a long way away. Apparently Flanagan accidentally tripped up a Chelmsford player which is why Stringer squared up to Flanagan.

Your comment was a bit tough on Jamie Philpot on his first home game against a very physical side. Talented young player who was at Welling United on loan last season and looked very effective whenever I saw him play. Cut him some slack and you will appreciate his all round play in due course.

Thanks for that Sony - on reflection it looks more like six and two threes watching it back. Not the first time Stringer has cause controversy though - who remembers his celebration in front of our own fans in the Wooden Man stand in the play off match season before last? (probably not many but it got under my skin at the time!)

It was just a comment on his game, hardly feel I need to 'cut him some slack'. He probably knows it better than me. And I agree that the Chelmsford defence were a tough nut to crack. The lad showed good touches but my main comment was on the ease on which he was knocked off the ball.
I'm sure he'll come good.
