The powerful wind blowing down the ground was a big factor with it behind us we dominated and second half they pushed up with the wind behind them and they dominated. We clung onto a point which was better than nothing but again I am surprised Haysie wasn't given 10 minutes at the end to try to work his magic and nick a win. Our keeper wasted a lot of possession by hoofing the ball into touch surely with that wind playing it out from the back might have been a better option. No sign of Lee Noble yesterday he will make a big difference and another solid display from Adam C without him we did look toothless.

It does seem strange that in our first three games, whoever is playing the best has been substituted. There might be valid reasons, but I don't buy this stuff about Cunnington "blowing", he was the best player on the park and we looked toothless after he went off. He won everything again today but for the third game in a row, was completely isolated and didn't get any support. Wabo was largely ineffective, he does little from out wide and if he plays at all, needs to be closer to Cunnington in my opinion.
We weren't awful, there are signs of hope, but I don't buy Arty's suggestion that the disappointing start is all down to a massively difficult fixture list. Just over one season ago we were a whisker off being champions yet now, even though we've significantly upped our budget, we're supposed to be looking in awe at half the division as if we're some kind of rank outsiders who are a massive long shot for a play off spot! This is a great club and I'm fed up with how we sell ourselves short. In this division we are one of the bigger fish and whilst we might not be favourites to win it, we should at least be AIMING for the title and not just aspiring to be mediocre and hoping to sneak into the play-offs through the back door.
Of course, it's far too early to write us off yet and should we ever get anywhere near having a fit, healthy and available squad then things might start to improve, but until then, don't try and tell me that 2 points from 9 is anything other than disappointing.
Very well said

One of the biggest problems is NO Bradbrook and NO Noble
in our non existent midfield
Yes Elliot has retired and Lee has yet to make an appearance but in the 2 home games we have been overun
in midfield imo.
The end of September is sometimes a good pointer of how a teams season is going to pan out.
Most of our injured players will be back by then although some of our managers decisions leave a lot of us completely
Baffled!l
Once Cunnington went off we were never going to score
We played like the away team hanging on for a point
Early days but so far nowhere near good enough.

I may add that Adam's substitution was not a big surprise. He took a knock Tuesday, and because of that for once I could see the Dynamic Duo's sense in it. We have Chelmo tomorrow and to have any chance of a goal there we need Adam. Bringing on Charlie didn't go down well with a lot of people and for me we still need someone up front with Adam. Pughie at the mo is our best bet, Norman is still lightweight and at times away with the fairies.
I wasn't impressed with Gnasher Tuesday but yesterday he started to win some important balls and his distribution was good but it took him 70 minutes to start doing it. As said the back four put in a good stint, but if the wind had dropped I felt we could have been in for a tonking as Havant were playing all the football. Again, our glorious Captain needlessly get's himself booked, good job he wasn't the last man as it could have been a lot worse than a yellow.
Wynter and Warner-Eley grew as the game went on but it did seem young Luke run out of steam toward the end of the game, but he put in a good stint. Hopefully, one can say, he will get better facing up to better competition in this league.
Allen was okay but he's certainly 'on his own' in the middle of the park. it seems that Nasher is a constant 15/20 yards behind him throughout?? Maybe that's Amos's game but it sure doesn't help us going forward.
Havant were good but yesterday, they weren't THAT good. Team's are still finding their feet throughout the division. I feel a win for us could be a long time coming because, at the moment, Adam, by far is our only chance. Noble may kickstart our midfield and our game, but is he our real hope of improving? I certainly hope not. Surely, even without him we could maybe put in a solid performance. Surely.
No one stood out for me yesterday, and others could/are saying that Adam was MOTM, but for me Jordan get's my MOTM as he grew as the game went on. But he only get's it because Nobe's wasn't on the pitch.
On to Monday and Chelmsford, who are not exactly at this time the 'big boys' everyone was expecting. But they do love to put one over on us. I just hope we can cope.

There’s been some praise for the defence after the stick they took in the first few games and maybe rightly so though they’ve had little protection especially against Wealdstone. But how good were they yesterday. Bloody fantastic and lead by Tom B. They were immense at times and were well and truely up against it particularly in the second half.

You really can't let it go can you.

With respect I could say the same about you over and over again, I’m sorry I have a different opinion to you but I believe it to be accurate in a game that we got hammered 4-1.
The last 2 games we’ve defended well. Coincidence?
We were protected down that side of the pitch yesterday I don’t think it’s hard too see that. If we weren’t then they would of torn us to pieces.
It’s ok for everyone to bang on about who should be in the team yesterday though right?
Maybe you should tell them to let it go also.

Yeah i agree, we do disagree on certain things.

but i generally just try and make my point and don't shall we say go into as much detail
We have played the same back five in all these games (and the same ten) so it surely can't just be down to one person, also the video doesn't show what happened in the build up to Havant's goal yesterday but i'll let you guess what happened and where it started from.
As for our defending in these two home games, well i agree again we have done well
However we haven't looked like scoring or creating hardly anything so i guess it's personal choice, i would rather be a little more attack minded and try winning a game rather than not win by being more defensive/negative. After all one player doesn't make or break a team.

Are all the teams in the league going to wear blue and yellow when we play them?

Arthur is about to put his head on the chopping block here. Yes it's a forum and yes I get the "IMO" easy option once people have expressed any statement. However, in my opinion (

) yes crazy I've said it taking the piss but people on here are wanting the worst for some sort of self gratification. What I mean by that is... every expression/statement is generally an attack on personnel be it players or managers. We are in the midst of a change behind the scenes one that will not happen immediately. People talk of where we are in budgets... what a load of bollocks..... no one knows the true amounts being paid to individuals at other clubs so drop that please. Spike we are a big club yes but a legal big club. What we have is this.
A top draw board, facilities, players, a family. I missed out management because there you go(IMO) I'm going to say it there are lots out there are on the attack about Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle for what bloody reason I really dont know. Please drop it I am told that many ex Dartford players think that the Dartford fans are shite because of this platform. That is FACT. Dont come on here and say this and that against Arthur it has been said within high ranks. I am ashamed and so should everybody. We should get out there tomorrow at Chelmsford and give it our total utmost in support. It wont be easy and we could easily come home empty handed but that's because Chelmsford will be giving THEIR all not because of our setup. But in Nobes Haysie and all I trust and as much as you will hate this to all members please give Jamie and Adam every sinue of support. Arthur
