So the good news is that with 3 games to go, amazingly it's still in our own hands and 3 wins guarantees us a play-off spot. The bad news is that our challenge has completely disintegrated and we look unlikely to get another point, let alone win even one of those games.
I don't know who's injured and who just can't be bothered to turn up, but a few weeks ago we had something good going on and third place was on the cards. Now we look disinterested and lethargic. Today's game looked for all the world like a meaningless end of season kickabout between two mid-table teams who didn't give a damn about the result. In Chippenham's case that was forgivable, especially since they won anyway. The Darts on the other hand, have capitulated in the last few weeks and have effectively thrown in the towel on the season and undone all the great work of just over a month ago. It is so bitterly disappointing for the fans and for those special players who have been let down by their less industrious colleagues.
The only thing that brought a genuine smile to the faces of Dartford fans today was the return of Andy Pugh. It was great to see him back and hopefully he will still be here next season.
My MOTM was Lee Noble and judging by my unofficial straw poll as I handed out the voting slips, he also got about 95% of the votes for player of the season. Lee is different class and we are so lucky to have him.
So once again it was a disappointing day. I just wish I had been on the same hallucinogenic drugs as the matchday sponsor must have been when choosing their MOTM. These decisions often throw up surprises, but that was the first time I've ever heard the crowd burst out laughing.
Dartford v Chippenham Town Sat April 13th.

On the day possibly the greatest Darts player of all may have played his last game, and without his point-scoring goals we would be way off the playoffs anyway, and who has always been a 'true' Dart giving 110% all the time, what an insult to Bradders.

Think your find he falls into the part time category.....I agree one of our best players of all time but not having him available for all the games handicapped us from the start

I fully understand everything is all about opinions but for me the mom voting is strange. I’m not suggesting only one player played well and I’ve alread stated who imo did well but looking at contribution during the game there are always a surprise or two.
For example Elliot got 1 vote but hardly played. Yet I’d give him my vote over at least one other who got a vote and played the whole game as Elliot is class and looked like he was going to be solid with T Bonnor.
I wouldn’t vote Elliot as 20 mins is not enough but wouldn’t be surprised if we won the game if he was on the 90. Part of his many talents is he’s a top class centre back as well.

It is fortunate that we had a decent middle to the season .
After a slow start when some of the new signings didn't look
Up to this level,we are finishing the season with a wimper.
If there are problems off the field then Adam & Jamie get it sorted because Saturdays effort was not fit for purpose!

Absolutely dreadful.
Our best chance was a Hayes miskicked shot which caught the keeper off guard
Team awful, subs awful how Hayes got another 90 minutes I will never know.
Where is Tony?
“ Hayes got another 90mins”I take it you’re not a big Hayes fan?
What’s wrong with standing out on the wing doing naff all, watching the game go by and put in an odd cross that players like Lee Noble could produce anyway, all the while the proper DFC ledgends battle and run themselves into the ground. (Noble, Bradders and IMO Bonnor)
“ Where is Tony”
Who do you think played a massive part Hayes him coming back to the club?
Tony didn’t have Woking, Billeriacy or Torquey to fight against last season.
I don’t think Coyle and Flan are doing a great job myself but I’m grateful they are trying to play the ball on the floor and not lump it around.
Tony has so much influence on these two they’re like puppets on a string for him, they do not manage on their own and Tony still have a say in some things and still has an influence and this is ridiculous. I heard the Kent podcast.
This is not change.
I honestly would have preferred Tony to stayed in the hot seat rather than this set up.
last Year was the weakest league in the south for many, many years and Tony’s abysmal decisions in crucial part of the seasons meant we came second in a one horse race. It was his poor decision making that cost us in the end.
Flan and Coyle is not change especially with the stupid set up we have with TB having an influence.
Poor decisions at the club by friends for friends have cost us another poor season.
As long as the chums down at PP are all happy with each other then that’s all that matters.
Dartford FC should be much bigger than the mates club inside and the forum, but it’s not so we’ll continue to go backwards and boy in the last few years we’ve gone way backwards.
Run by mates for mates.

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Sat April 13th.
Kentc, and you questioned me re the team getting a point. This wasn't an 'on the day' performance, this has been building over the last month, and then to lose key players just cemented my view. Roberts may have problems in his personal life but after that amazing goal against Gloucester he was buzzing. So what happened? Who cares? If he couldn't hack it, goodbye.
For me the lads, considering the team that was out there, put up a fair fist of things, they just didn't have someone to bang the ball in the net. A problem we've had all season. And to lose Elliot after 15 minutes didn't exactly help matters. Against a team that I thought was probably the worse team seen at PP this season, if we had beaten them it would have prolonged our season. But when they scored, it was like you could hear a pin drop, the disappointment around the ground.
For me, to see Lee Noble standing in the centre circle for a full minute with his shirt over his head told me all I needed. We've blown it. Eve he knew it. Although I'm sure whatever team we put out for the next 3 games will do their best.
MOTM for me, who else?
Spikey, was it you who handed my voting slip with Lee Noble already on it? Oh well, it saved me some ink.
