Jamie Philpot has signed for Glebe in the Southern Counties East League. Millwall to step 5 in less than 15 months. Next stop Sunday morning football; paying subs and putting up the posts. What the hell has gone on there...?

I always thought there was a good footballer in Jamie Philpot trying to get out. Perhaps the new manager of Glebe Gary Alexander might coach him in the right direction.

Those of a certain age will remember Bobby Makin; a superb left back in John Still’s title winning team of the mid 80s and then came back to manage the Darts after Peter Taylor left in the early 90s.

I always remember Bob for scoring a great diving header for us once and my dad said that it reminded him of a leaping frog. This was the same game Paul Sawyer scored a 30 yard screamer. Good player, good manager and a nice all round guy.
