For me tom knowles and lee Noble did well. I can’t see anything decent from anyone else.
Interesting to see what others think.

Interesting to see on how Charlie and Knowles played ???????

Knowles was excellent. Battling down the left getting past his man particularly in 2nd half. Real hard working player with some quality, it would seem on the first time I’ve seen him.

Sheri....difficult one, I didn’t think he contributed much, he battled, missed a couple of great chances in first half but could say brilliant defending and keeping.
Second half for me no influence.

Most if not all the quality was from Noble and knowles. Imo of course.

I gave nobes mom, where on Earth would we be without him, I understand why knowles would get a vote or two, the thing is with Noble is we come to expect the good things he does.

Excited to see knowles play again, hopefully he is as good as this performance suggests.

Yes we had a couple but we lost again to a better side again and there were some very below average performances again.
I was hoping for a bit more than this.

If we were outclassed by a team who started the day well down the table, the next two fixtures are worrying.

It's unfair to say we were outclassed. Some of our recent performances have really stank and people had every right to be critical, but today was disappointing rather than embarrassing. I felt the team's efforts deserved better as we did at least create chances. In fact in some ways the performance was slightly better than last week's win over Thurrock, but St Albans were not so obliging. Charlie Sheringham didn't do badly, he battled hard and won quite a few flick-ons but without wishing to be disrespectful, neither Kudus nor Delano when he came on, gave him any credible assistance whatsoever. I can't in all honesty say that either of these two has yet to do anything to warrant their inclusion in the team. I'm not particularly convinced by Jamie Philpott either, but I think he does at least look capable of scoring and is young enough to improve. He is surely a better bet as a partner for Charlie.

The standout performers today were Lee Noble and the newbie Tommy Knowles who had the courage to take people on and bring a bit of excitement to the game. Sure he made the wrong decision once or twice and it didn't always work out, but this kid's enthusiasm and lack of fear provided more entertainment in one game than several of our players have managed all season so far. I really enjoyed watching Tommy play and I gave him my MOTM vote ... it would have been Lee Noble as he was brilliant today, but he took the cherry off the top of his performance by giving away the silly free kick that resulted in the second goal. I don't think it affected the outcome.

In summary, I don't think we played badly today and the performance did give hope for the future. However, the fact that a "disappointing" result is seen as progress is in itself even more disappointing.

... but at least it's progress of sorts.

Very disappointing after Mondays victory but watching the game I had the feeling the first side to score would win the game. We had several good chances first half but their defence with Richard Sho-Silva looking solid blocked them out. Hard to judge Charlie on that performance he looked as bewildered as the rest of us but Tom Murphy did ok at right back until forced off by injury. The other new lad had a couple of decent runs down the wing but only time will tell. Lee Noble worked hard as usual despite being clattered with a late tackle by his namesake David Noble, needless to say the Referee missed it. Just a shame Lee gave away a silly free kick which they scored from in the last minute. At the moment we've got mid-table stamped all over us.

what a crap day ,we lose 2-0 and then the bloody train breaksdown on the way home near st.pancras.

as for the match i thought we were unlucky not to score in first half when ben had a clear header from a tom pin point cross and thought tom and charlie looked ok,
see we have a joke voter on the forum by giving ben a vote for not contributing again but thats my opinion i suppose.

tom showed plenty of pace on the wing a shame we did not use him more but hopefully we will in the next month and mr reliable in midfield lee noble showing the others the commitment and desire that we all want see its a good job we still have him.

Good to see the comments about Tom Knowles as we have been desperate for a winger with some class and this lad just may fit the bill, the downside is he is on loan so IF he does well he may just tempt Cambridge to recall him IF things are not going well there , just a pity we havent got him on say a minimum of 3 months with no call back , I am NOT a big fan of short term loans unless just to cover injuries NOT crap team performances !!!
