I saw the 2 games against Welling and we stuffed em. Very pleasing run of wins for us. Puts us firmly in the mix now and expect this team to get better and better. Decent home crowd, not swelled by Welling fans.
ER mom by a mile but good all round performance from a revitalised squad
Loving it.

Lets be honest had it been a boxing match the Referee would have stopped it to prevent Welling being seriously hurt. Elliot Romain one minute he is soaring to score a header from a beautiful cross from Gordon then he is in the left back position stopping a Welling attack by tackling their player and forcing the ball off, he makes me tired just watching him. The poor old Welling supporters behind the goal I almost felt sorry for them they looked very forlorn. I hope their Club picks up and survives their current troubles.

The performance of the midfield players has been especially pleasing, especially when you consider that in pre-season it seemed likely that Allen, Noble and Blackman looked likely to fill those positions and are still injured on recovering from injury. We may soon need at least one of them if Hyde's loan period ends.
The recall of Gordon and the injury to/ suspension of Hill are unfortunately going to mean changes in defence which the Manager would probably not wish to make after three clean sheets.

There's very little to choose between our 3 centre-backs, so Vinty will step back in for Josh no problem. Left back is an issue but I have no doubt SK has the matter in hand as he seems to have contacts everywhere and no problem finding quality players at short notice. I'm expecting a new signing at 2.45pm on Saturday.

That’s the key isn’t it with SK, he knows the scene inside out and can bring in quality if needed. He uses loan system very well.
We should feel the need to be excited and dream, I can already feel the buzz again, this buzz will transmit to the missing hundreds as we rise again and the likes of Welling and Ebbsfleet in decline, it’s marvellous.
Thank god the club finally saw sense and appointed a proper football manager and not an old pal(s)

I am absolutely loving what's going on with my team. The manager is good, the team is good, the football is wonderful to watch. Noble, and Blackman are going to have a hard job of getting into a Steve King side as things stand.
Loving it. I know you were a tad reticent Spike with making waves over the Play-offs. Yes, safety was a priority, but you can't tell me SK is not looking at going further THIS season while also planning for next. He talks well, and with teams above looking as if they could slip up at any time maybe he will be disappointed now if we don't reach them. He has players wanting to play for him and some who maybe disappointed if they don't get their loans extended.
Itching for my next game

Intelligent performance by the team yesterday. A professional job was done on Welling. We seemed to pick our moments getting forward particularly in the second half. Nearing the end of 3 successive Kent derbies, with 9 points, 10 goals scored and none conceded, we kept things simple by keeping the ball well. Which is something we probably couldn't have been trusted to do not so long ago.
MOTM once again Elliot Romain. This guy will score goals wherever he goes. Not only that, his attitude and all round game is absolutely first class.

Just watched the interview with Steve and the first 1 minute 40 secs tells me he's more excited about our resurgence than I am.
Knowing what's happening at Dorking is a bonus but they are on a roll. A draw would be a great result but I believe we can win.
He has a few choice problems to make but he needs to keep players currently in the team and not feel he has to accommodate players coming back from injury. IE Smithy for Alhaji. He (Alhaji), in my opinion is a great keeper.

Great times to be watching our team again and I would say that this is possibly the best footballing team we have had since the Peter Taylor era. Disappointing to hear that Gordon is going back, in fact I would put him into the bracket of one of the best fullback's I have see in a DFC shirt. He will be hard to replace but I am sure SK is already working on his player jigsaw board, I really don't know where he finds all these players. It seems that whoever plays, he get a performance from them and no matter what system he deploys on the pitch, whether it is 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1 or even Mike Bassetts Christmas pud formation, the team are still fluent and most importantly, every player knows what expected of them.
