We played some good football tonight without really troubling their defence, the final ball wasn’t there tonight for whatever reason, but you cannot question the commitment from this team under SK? Maidstone to their credit took the one chance that came their way from a quick breakaway, other than that there wasn’t much else to separate the teams tonight? We draw a line under this and move on to Saturday with hopefully a fully fit squad to choose from and hopefully Luke Allen’s injury is not that serious. MOTM for me was Luke Allen.

Oh and U.T.D; when you use words like” Rubbish” and “Useless” to describe the team that you are supposed to support ; do expect a reaction especially when the team you are supposed to support were anything but tonight? , So I suggest you poodle off back to your Village; they are missing you!

Really not bothered about this trophy this season. We've got playoffs to chase and need minimal distractions. It's unfortunate yes but another distraction out of the way.

On we go
You really are an irritating little prick.

I listened to the commentary, in and out of sleep (3 hours ahead here) and am gutted we lost but accept that we gave it a fine go. Maidstone have the kind of player, given the chance, that are clinical and we will have to forget it now and re-group for a run of League games.

Up the Darts is a bell end, by the way. Yes total.

Keep the faith, this is not the end of the world.

Apparently it was all the dug-out’s fault! That’s all I could hear in the second half!

Over the 3 games between the two sides we have been better technically than our opponents but again we got punished on the break. We dominated possession again and got in good areas in and around the box but our players either took an extra touch or decided to pass rather than having a shot. The players gave it everything and the only disappointment was the quality of corners/crosses plus not putting Ryan out wide. Saying that, he did deliver two of the best ball's into the box leading to goalmouth scrambles.

We are heading in the right direction and it won't be long before we start to overtake some of our local rivals. We lost the game but at least we gave it our best shot.

It is always painful to lose to Maidstone but we couldn't get the ball into the net and they waited and took their chance. Luke Allen's injury towards the end looked nasty as he limped off, lets hope our injury hoodoo hasn't struck again. Considering the amount of rain the pitch looked excellent. With their patience and luck it wouldn't surprise me if Maidstone nick a result at Blackpool.

Ok most of us wanted a cup run but it wasn't to be.
We move on......
A) Get well away from the bottom 2
B)consolidate and push for a play off place
C) wether we win the play offs or not(if we make them)
then under our new management we go for automatic
promotion next season
SIMPLES!!

When I saw your post UTD I thought that you would only have a derogatory remark and like the old fool I am 'I Bit'. Should have known better really. But there you go, I'll know next time. You Moron :( I felt we really needed to have got the win at the Gallagher. SK was snatching at straws down there, what with his limited resources and I couldn't see him changing a game plan for last night.
Maidstone ought to think themselves very lucky indeed that they have gone through to the next round. Having come up against aside that was pushed to get a team out.
If we played well last night, that's all we could ask for.
