As Bobby Wilkinson has been mentioned a few times on here, he was on the Non League Show podcast on 23 August talking about getting back into management, an interesting interview if you fancy it.

Bradley Quinton got Braintree promoted on a small budget and knows several of our current players and plays attractive football. Him, King or Wilkinson for me.

Braintree? Attractive football? They just use to lump it up to Marks & Spencer!!
But right now i'd take route one, if it got us climbing back up the table?

I think that's down to a certain Mr Goldberg, who can't quite work out if he is an Owner,Chairman or Manager??

Interesting ponder. CK is certainly experienced. At Dover to Margate, and back to Dove,r he was under the same Chairman, and achieved much success . He lost the position a couple of Seasons ago when Dover were struggling,, as we have been. They have moved onwards with Andy H.
The ponder is, not his ability to Manage, nor to source Players, but whether our structure, mirrors the freedoms of having a Chairman able to fund his own aspirations, beyond the Gate income limitations at that end of the County..

CK is a very personable man and can certainly manage. Tony, similarly, perhaps under stricter constraints. I am sure that the Club will deliberate carefully, in establishing Management from those currently not with Clubs ,and available.

I personally. hope that the Board are allowed the necessary time to find a "Fit"
Our Club as a whole deserves due diligence. In my humble opinion.

- i have used CK as an example, mainly due to the fact that, like Tony, expectation exceeded a notable record of sustained success. Time will tell , as things unfold.

Statistically it will be difficult to make the top seven, although we're only seven points behind with plenty of games to go. Love the optimism and like all of us I hope we go on an incredible run to do it.

Since Dartford’s return to the National South, one team each season ended August outside of the top nine and made the top seven by the end of the season. Torquay United (2018/2019), Hampton & Richmond (2017/2018), Dartford (2016/2017), Truro City (2015/2016). Truro were the lowest placed team at the end of August in 17th spot.

Let's hope we can do it again and repeat our achievement in 2016/2017!

Steve King and Mark Goldberg had a massive fall out last season when Goldberg made a massive budget cut. Steve King had to lose some of his backroom staff which pissed him off big style. After that King was never going to see out the remaining year of his contract. Rumour has it Goldberg told him he wanted to be manager again this season anyway so that put the tin hat on it.
