Well done to all of the travelling fans yesterday and I hope all of you have returned home safely.
Not the result we had hoped for but as others have said with a weakened midfield we were always going to struggle to adjust to the changes against perhaps the best team in the league even when they were down to 10 men.
May I ask were you fans treated any better than when you visited Torquay for the Truro game ?

Torquay have a magnificent stadium, very good support and their team is top notch, but one or two of their stewards are incredibly dim. Unlike when we played Truro, Torquay opened up the terrace behind the goal, so we had a choice of seated or standing AND access to a tea bar and no need for a personal escort if we wanted to get a coffee. The stewards seemed friendly enough and managed to refrain from any acts of idiocy right up until the end of the game, when one of them decided that he wasn't going to let the day pass without doing something stupid and unnecessary. There's about 7 or 8 terraces behind the goal, and the concrete walkway at the bottom. As the game finished, we walked down the terrace with the intention of walking along the walkway to the exit, when he insisted that we had to walk back up the few steps to the top of the terrace, walk along the back of the stand and then back down the steps to rejoin the walkway at the end. It wasn't a great hardship or anything, it's just that there were only about 40 people in that entire stand and it was an instruction that was utterly ridiculous and completely pointless. He claimed this was for Health & Safety reasons but honestly, this instruction wouldn't have made an awful lot of sense even if the ground had been full, but with so few people standing there, the only conclusion I can draw is he was either some power-crazed idiot who enjoys exercising his authority or he'd made some sort of bet with one of his colleagues. Either way, when you're cold and wet, having made a 450 mile round trip only to see your team well beaten, it's amazing how little things like this can get under your skin.

I have just watched the highlights from the link in the quote & the only adverts were the ones on the hoardings around Plainmoor. It will take someone with more computer savvy than me, but perhaps someone can advise on how to cut out the adverts for you.

Spike, we were moved away from that part of the stand at about 65 minutes in as part of the signage attached to the cantilever roof was on its way off. Apparently.

I am taking a holiday in Cornwall this year and my wife and I have decided to stop in Dartmouth for a B&B on the way down. I find it disconcerting as this is quite near to Torquay. Given the H&S rules that Spike has endured do you think we will be okay passing so close to said town?

Ah, well in that case it makes perfect sense and I unreservedly apologise.

Just seen the highlights;
Massive deflection for their first goal & Bailey unlucky with the second. Not overly impressed but fair play to both teams in those conditions!!
