Solid defence, not so solid this week. A good point earned.

3.20am Sunday and I'm the first to comment on the game so I'll say M.O.M. Darren and what a good start for him, he is so quick and looks very skillful going close early on before making the first goal for Ben and then Ben did the same in return for Darren to score.
But for most of our game it was a return to that old style of "In the air In the air we were kicking the ball in the air" and we didn't look at home at all on the artificial pitch.
Lee worked hard as usual and survived a couple of nasty tackles from their defenders, Phil put in a good work rate, Ryno it was his turn for a poor game, the defence up and down in performances and one after another two excellent opportunities to score in the second half which some how were blocked and robbed us of a win.

A very neat little ground complete with high tech scoreboard. McQueen looks a very good player quick and skilful as long as we play the ball on the ground he will be a big asset, play him alongside Charlie Sheringham. Slough were much better than their league position suggests and I thought a draw was a fair result but they were lucky to finish the first half with eleven men after Lee Noble was taken out and the Referee bottled the red card. Dan Johnson had a tough game at fullback with Slough attacking down his wing for a lot of the game and he did struggle. But a draw gives us a four point gap above Concord, and bloody Wall scored again. Next Saturday against Woking should be very interesting.

Was nice to see Arbour Park finished. I have fond memories of our previous visit there, unfortunately we couldn’t recreate the score line but came close. The club suffers a bit from new ground-itis, quite an amusing moment as one of the stewards locked firstly myself out, then one the home supporters as we were having a smoke in the designated (out of the ground) area. Cue comments from ASH...
McQueen was impressive and Roberts had another decent game. The incredulity surrounding Sheringham’s away presence rolls on. Woking up next, I heard rumbles about a meeting to discuss segregation this week.

I mentioned this to chairman Dave at our last home match and he said that it was not going to happen No segregation. with woking, he said the incident to our supporter happened outside the ground and there was no trouble inside. just hope he right on the day. (I was hoping to shut up early and see a bit more of the first half ) Great result yesterday pity we couldn't hang onto the 2-1 lead, but it's another point .

Wasn't it mentioned previous that Charlie had an ankle problem?
I seem to remember that Dan struggled against these at home, probably the worse game I see the lad play for us. So maybe they had done their homework on the club and Dan.
Trevor, what was you doing up at 3.20am?
And finally, Woking next. Let's hope we can do the double over them, because, let's face it, we didn't see the win at their gaff coming. Back 4 will definately need to be solid, and the rest will hopefully sort itself out.
Up the Darts.
