Mike, I'm on board with the general idea that our club should not spend beyond its means, but with the best will in the world, this is a thread discussing the prospective new manager and I don't understand what point you are trying to make here. In short, what on earth are you talking about? You're a consistently positive guy and I feel as though I should be on the same page as you more often, but in all honesty, there doesn't appear to be any substance in your post with which anyone could either agree or disagree with.

Ironically whilst we search for a replacement of our erstwhile joint management team, Slough's double act have won the Manager of the Month award for September.

Spike, thank you for your advice. I thought that I had clearly voiced my disappointment that Scott L had reduced our options of Manager to 4.
Although I know, that there is a groundswell of Posts for one particular Candidate, I still would prefer a choice of applicants, for the Board to hear a variety of proposals. However, most posts have not, in fact, discussed the Merits, or not, of all those shortlisted by the Club, as you seem to suggest. And as each Applicant will have some aspirations for the future, a Fans personal view of whether structure or "go for it", is surely also relevant to anyone involved in this process.

If that is perceived as lacking in substance or worth , I will gladly accept to be in the wrong environment . Regards. Mike, :)

I have read over your posts time and time again also genuinely trying to make sense of them but find it very difficult to interpret what you actually mean, but i'll have another go.

"I nail my hopes on positive structure and development, based on where we actually fit, in the Financial reality outside the 'Honeypot' Football League".

That sounds to me as if you are saying we have no chance of achieving football league status? However difficult that may be if i ever believed my club had given up trying i would be appalled.

Not sure where Spike has suggested discussing the merits or not of the applicants but imo the "groundswell" of posts for the "one particular candidate" are obviously going to be promoting his "merits" because that is their preferred choice, those posters as far as i can see are also not discussing the "non merits" of the others which they obviously think is the correct thing to do. Unfortunately it seems the opposite is happening to the "one particular candidate" without any substance or facts which i find unfair.

I would like to think that only applicants who have more than "some aspirations" would be considered and as for "structure" and "go for it", the structure is already in place so if they don't want to go for it as far as i'm concerned they can "go" somewhere else.

I can't help feeling that there is an underlying current with your posts that you are against a particular candidate but for whatever reason you won't actually come out and say what you really think, or maybe you have and i just can't understand you........

Mike, in short, may I please announce that we, the fans, are only at liberty to understand, somewhat, announceforth, hencewith, that, given as a result, comma, punctuation, emphasis, opinion of my own, only.

That with all concerns put unto consideration.

Excellent point Mikey. I think you have hit the nail on the head perfectly, although I fear your message may be lost on Mr Malaprop.
